I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have been working with families and children for over two decades as a teacher, a school counselor, and in private practice. I am here to help with the healing process and support emotions that arise through life’s many transitions. Rest assured that when working with me, you will be met with understanding, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in practice for over 12 years. I like to create a therapeutic environment for you to feel comfortable with letting your guard down and allowing me to be privy to assist you with your vulnerabilities, trials, tribulations, and traumas. I am a strong believer in us working together in exploring self-validation and self-advocation in order to developing the tools needed to best assist you in effectively coping along the way to your journey towards healing, balancing, and growing towards positive and proactive change.
Hi!, I'm Jacqueline, a Licensed Professional Counselor who truly gets the beautiful chaos of modern life because I'm living it right alongside you.
After earning my psychology degree from Texas Tech in three years (because I thought sleep was optional back then!) and my master's in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology from UT Southwestern, I spent over a decade working at places like UT Arlington, Children's Medical Center, and UT Southwestern's Neuropsychology department. But my real education came when life happened – getting married and having multiple kiddos.
Suddenly, I wasn't just understanding anxiety and overwhelm from textbooks. I was the one eating meals with one hand while bouncing a baby, wondering if I'd ever feel human again, and trying to balance professional responsibilities with the complete identity shift that comes with motherhood.
Those experiences taught me what no graduate program could: what it really feels like to juggle everything while questioning if you're failing at it all. Now, after 20+ years of marriage and navigating the ongoing adventure of raising three kids, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to my work.
I specialize in helping women navigate anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. But what sets me apart is that I apply these tools through the lens of someone who has walked the same path.
Whether you're a young professional feeling overwhelmed, a new mom wondering where your identity went, or a working parent trying to find balance, I see you – because I've been you. My goal is simple: help you create a life you're thriving in, not just surviving. Because trust me, it's absolutely possible.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with about 6 years of experience, I have worked with adults going through difficulties, such as stress, relationship issues or worries within themselves and their lives. I have also worked with those who are going through depression, anxiety or family issues. I believe through understanding and empowerment, we are capable of change and so much more.

On the outside, you might be keeping it together, but on the inside, you are looking for a way to finally catch your breath.
Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all process. I am a passionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who believes in building a strong, collaborative relationship with my clients. Having worked in a variety of high-intensity environments—including residential substance abuse programs, forensic settings, and with at-risk youth, first responders, and veterans—I bring a unique and adaptable perspective to our sessions.

I have been passionate about mental health from a young age! I started working toward my career at Texas A&M University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2013. I went on to pursue my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University and graduated in 2015. I have experience working with all ages as a grief counselor, career counselor, children's counselor, school counselor, and a general counselor for individuals and couples. Additionally, I have a background in education as a former teacher and school counselor.
Reaching out for support can be one of the hardest parts of starting therapy. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy can be a space to slow down, talk openly about what you’re experiencing, and gain a different perspective on the challenges you’re facing.
My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. My style is warm, conversational, and thoughtfully questioning. Rather than simply telling you what to do, I’ll help you explore your thoughts, recognize patterns, make connections, and identify practical steps that feel realistic for your life.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Reality Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, build effective coping skills, identify solutions, and work toward meaningful goals. Because no two people have the same experiences or needs, treatment is collaborative and individualized to you.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a difficult transition, struggling with anxiety or depression, or simply recognizing that something in your life needs to change, you don’t have to work through it alone. Taking the first step can feel intimidating, but reaching this point means you’ve already started. Let’s take the next step together.

With vast clinical experience, I have served as a university career counselor, a specialist for healthcare professionals, and a dedicated clinician within both the US Navy Family Advocacy Program and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
My practice provides a highly supportive, practical space for college students, working adults at all career stages, healthcare workers, service members, Veterans, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
I blend empathetic listening with deep clinical insight to help you manage and heal from:

--Daily Survival: Severe career burnout, relationship problems, and navigating life's overlapping pressures.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has provided behavioral health services to individuals since 2011. My practice approach is to start where you are in your life. I will compassionately listen to help you gain insight and develop tools to cope with life's challenges. Life transitions are normal, but sometimes living life can become so overwhelming you need someone to talk to about it. My goal is to help you cope with these changes and to move forward.
Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless. If you could just “get over it,” you would, but sometimes the brain simply cannot process traumatic events without help, and this is why trauma therapy exists. :)
I'm an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas. I've been in practice for nearly 15 years and have been doing EMDR therapy for 13 of those. I specialize in helping teens and adults process trauma of all kinds. My goal is to help my clients gain the skills needed to process and adapt to traumatic memories, and then allow them to do so in a safe environment. I teach them how to build boundaries and follow through, and to treat themselves with self-compassion rather than judgment and harsh expectations.
Trauma doesn’t have to ruin (or run) your life. If you’re hurting, please know I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

I do this work to express my passion for supporting others as they untangle complex expectations and cultivate a value-fueled, authentic life. I understand first hand the struggle to 'be successful' while also exploring the answers to 'who am I?' As the son of Chinese immigrants from Mexico, raised in Mississippi, I personally understand the challenge of living between cultures and the "liminal spaces" where identity can feel uncertain.

Today, alongside working directly with clients, I also mentor and supervise the next generation of aspiring counselors as they work toward full licensure.
Throughout my diverse roles, I have developed a clinical approach rooted in warmth, empathy, and genuine understanding. I work effectively with children, teenagers, and adults, helping them navigate life’s complex challenges. My primary goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your feelings, uncover your innate strengths, and confidently map out your own path forward.

Since 2000, I've dedicated much of my professional career as a life coach. In 2016, I began my journey to become a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in assisting individuals in managing their challenges. My approach integrates both intellectual and emotional aspects to support clients effectively. Using CBT, TF-CBT, and Motivational interviewing techniques, I provide structured, goal-oriented processes while focusing on achieving specific therapeutic goals. Addressing the needs of individuals who have experienced trauma by reducing symptoms of trauma-related disorders, such as PTSD, depression, and anxiety, among children, adolescents, and their families. Concentrating on helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence about change, the collaborative and client-centered nature effectively enhances motivation, promotes engagement in treatment, and supports clients in making meaningful and sustainable changes in their lives. I believe talk therapy is a power tool. It can heal. It can empower. It can bring about the kind of changes you seek. In order for talk therapy to really work, you must feel connected to and trust the therapist you work with so I encourage you to find the right fit. We will start where you are and, together, we will explore new ways of making your life more manageable. To struggle is to be part of the human experience. Struggle can be a motivator for change. My journey into the world of counseling was sparked by a simple belief: everyone carries the potential to lead a fulfilling life, and sometimes, all we need is a guiding hand to help illuminate our path. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit. Life can throw us challenges, often unexpected, but with understanding, patience, and guidance, we can overcome anything. My role is not just as a counselor but as a fellow traveler on the path to self-discovery.

Nearly 20 years later, it is still a privilege to work with individuals, couples in various stages or phases of their relationship and families of all sizes.
I’m often looking for "the funny" in the moment and the world around me. I greatly enjoy sarcasm, snark, and satire. I'm fairly casual but have been told I "Clean up well", and clients have told me in the past they appreciate that I do not come across as "stuffy".
I daydream of going on cruises with my wife, occasionally think about bringing our children along. I treasure a long nap in a hammock, and I love movies. Once upon a time I even submitted a short film to the Cannes Film Festival (wasn't selected) but I did enter.
Clinically, I work with a foundation of Solution Focus and Systemic Therapy, with attributes of Narrative, Structural and/or Strategic.
*** I do not provide animal support letters or ESA documentation, disability-related paperwork, and fit for work evaluation documentation. Additionally, court-mandated evaluations, divorce or custody agreement related paperwork would be out of the scope of my practice, therefore is not something I engage in at this time.
