I have been in practice for over 20 years, treating individuals. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy that is client-focused for your needs. I have worked in a variety of settings over the years. I primarily work with concerns such as anxiety, depression, racial stress, perinatal health, chronic illness/pain, and life transitions. My practice is both LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC informed.
In our first session, we will discuss what is bringing you to therapy and create a treatment plan. You will leave with coping skills to begin addressing what has brought you in.
I have been a therapist for over 20 years. In this time, I have learned that one size does not fit all. I tailor my treatment approach to help you achieve your goals as quickly and painlessly as possible. We will work at a pace that is safe and effective for your needs.
Clients going through life transitions - career change, school issues, women dealing with parenting issues or perinatal issues, as well as women dealing with pre-menopause, menopause, empty nesters, divorce, grief, loss. Teens ages 15 to 19 years old and adults of all ages. Goal oriented and ready to do the work. LGBTQ, BIPOC, and/or latinx. Dealing with anxiety, self improvement, growth, coping with racial trauma. Prefer higher functioning individuals.
Eclectic
I use an eclectic approach to therapy. We will explore the issues troubling you and the messages you receive about these issues. Together we will help you learn to process this information in a way that is helpful and productive for you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have used CBT for years to assist clients challenge negative cognitions and replace them with positive ones to improve overall sense of self and functioning.
