New to Grow
Welcome, my name is Felice, like (Felice Navidad). I know that reaching out for counseling takes courage, and I want you to know you don’t have to walk through life’s challenges alone. My role as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive space where you can share your story, explore your struggles, and discover practical tools for healing and growth. With over 20 years of experience in education, counseling, and supporting individuals from all walks of life, I specialize in helping people through grief, adoption journeys, and major life transitions. I also work with clients facing anxiety, stress, self-esteem challenges, caregiving responsibilities, and relationship concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I often integrate trauma-informed care, CBT techniques, and faith-based perspectives when desired, to help you find hope and resilience. Whether you are navigating personal loss, family changes, or simply seeking a healthier way forward, I am here to walk alongside you. Together, we can work toward building peace, confidence, and new possibilities for your life.
During our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and beginning to build a strong, trusting relationship. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns. I believe the foundation of effective therapy is a relationship built on mutual trust, respect, and understanding, and our first session is the first step in creating that connection.
What sets my therapeutic approach apart is the combination of compassion, structure, and evidence-based methods tailored to each client’s needs. I often integrate Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), cognitive-behavioral techniques, and, when desired, faith-informed perspectives to help clients process difficult experiences, build coping skills, and strengthen resilience. I focus on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Over time, clients often experience reduced anxiety, improved emotional regulation, stronger relationships, and a greater sense of confidence and hope. My approach is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented, ensuring therapy is both healing and actionable in daily life.
I am best positioned to serve children, adolescents, adults, and families who are navigating seasons of change, loss, or uncertainty. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by grief, stress, anxiety, or life transitions such as adoption, caregiving, divorce, or moving into a new stage of life. Some are looking for support in rebuilding confidence and self-worth, while others want help strengthening family relationships or finding healthier coping strategies. I work well with clients who are open to growth and ready to take steps—big or small—toward healing. Whether your goal is to process past pain, find calm in daily life, or move forward with greater clarity and hope, I will meet you where you are and walk alongside you in that journey.
In my practice, I often use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is a gentle, structured approach that helps children, teens, and adults work through difficult experiences. Trauma can leave people feeling stuck in fear, sadness, or self-blame, and TF-CBT provides tools to process those experiences in a safe and supportive way.
