I have 9 years of experience supporting individuals and families as they navigate some of life’s most challenging moments. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Tarleton State University, and throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with adults, children, and adolescents across a variety of settings, including shelters, outreach centers, schools, and hospitals. These experiences have shaped my belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered to create a life that feels meaningful to them. I strive to embrace the full spectrum of life—the challenges, transitions, growth, joy, and everything in between—and provide a safe, compassionate space where you can show up as your authentic self. My approach is collaborative and centered around meeting you where you are. I believe therapy is not about having all the answers, but about having the right support as you explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and work toward the life you want. My goal is to help you recognize your strengths, navigate obstacles, shift perspectives, and develop tools that allow you to move forward with greater confidence and hope.

Hi there! I’m Ayana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW degree. As a Christian therapist, I specialize in helping Black and African-American women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger management, life transitions, spirituality, and stress. There are times when we find ourselves on autopilot, in a state of being that is mundane, overwhelming, and monotonous. If you are feeling stuck and want more out of life, I'm here to assist with setting goals, overcoming limiting beliefs, and developing appropriate coping skills that will propel you forward in life. I use a combination approach that includes mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and person-centered therapies. These techniques help with grounding and appreciating the present moment while identifying belief patterns that are a hindrance. My services are offered on an easily accessible virtual platform, making it convenient for you to receive the support you need from the comfort of your own space. I believe that seeking therapy is a courageous and empowering step towards improving your overall mental well-being. You have already taken the right step by seeking out a qualified therapist, and I want you to know that I am here for you. Together, we can work on creating a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with your true self. Outside of my professional life, I value spirituality and the strength it brings to the healing process. I am passionate about helping my clients find balance and peace in their lives. If you're ready to embark on this journey towards better mental health, let's connect and start this transformative process together.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples. My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy. I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility. You can know that something needs to change and still feel unsure where to begin. Maybe you're overthinking everything, putting pressure on yourself to get it right, carrying experiences you've never fully processed, or trying to find your footing in a season of life that has changed you. Sometimes, even when things look fine from the outside, they can feel very different on the inside. I want therapy to be a place where you can let your guard down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and feel understood without having to explain away your feelings. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed care. I draw from evidence-based approaches to help you understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build coping skills, and create meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Trinity University and my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Saint Mary's University, both in San Antonio. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). My additional training includes TF-CBT and TGCTA, and I am pursuing certification in Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders to better support individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition to parenthood.

I’m Phillip, a therapist dedicated to helping people grow a life they can feel proud of—often while navigating heavy pressure. I do this work to express my passion for supporting others as they untangle complex expectations and cultivate a value-fueled, authentic life. I understand first hand the struggle to 'be successful' while also exploring the answers to 'who am I?' As the son of Chinese immigrants from Mexico, raised in Mississippi, I personally understand the challenge of living between cultures and the "liminal spaces" where identity can feel uncertain.

Trauma hurts. It can be sudden, life-altering and overwhelming, or chronic, subtle and nearly unnoticeable, but either way it can change the way we think about others, the world, and unfortunately, ourselves. Dealing with the aftermath—changes in our relationships, lashing out toward self or others, feeling nothing and/or everything all at once—is sometimes as hard as the initial event, especially when society, friends and family and our own minds tell us to “just get over it.” Worse, sometimes we aren’t even sure where the trauma came from in the first place, leaving us confused and even feeling hopeless. If you could just “get over it,” you would, but sometimes the brain simply cannot process traumatic events without help, and this is why trauma therapy exists. :) I'm an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) in Texas. I've been in practice for nearly 15 years and have been doing EMDR therapy for 13 of those. I specialize in helping teens and adults process trauma of all kinds. My goal is to help my clients gain the skills needed to process and adapt to traumatic memories, and then allow them to do so in a safe environment. I teach them how to build boundaries and follow through, and to treat themselves with self-compassion rather than judgment and harsh expectations. Trauma doesn’t have to ruin (or run) your life. If you’re hurting, please know I’d be happy to help in any way I can.

My name is Vincent Egbuchulam, and I am a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience in the mental health field. I address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, teen issues, anger and stress management, life transitions, aggression, and ADHD. In addition, I am a retired board-certified Special Education teacher with 15 years of experience. My counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). CBT involves helping clients learn and practice new skills, develop healthier thinking patterns, and adopt more effective coping strategies. I may assign homework to reinforce the skills we work on during sessions, as I believe that applying these techniques in your daily life enhances their effectiveness. SFBT operates on the principle that individuals are competent and capable of finding solutions to improve their lives. In our sessions, you will have the opportunity to describe your challenges, set personal goals, and provide feedback. Occasionally, I may incorporate other techniques, such as role-playing, if they are beneficial for your progress. I am committed to supporting those who seek to enhance their emotional well-being. During our initial visit, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and outline what you hope to achieve from our sessions. The first session typically lasts about an hour. You can expect a highly professional, objective, nonjudgmental, and confidential experience.

’ve felt called to become a therapist since I was nine years old, and that sense of purpose has stayed with me ever since. I began my career in a community mental health setting, where I worked closely with individuals experiencing severe mental illness and learned the importance of practical, real-life coping skills. That experience continues to shape my approach today—I focus on helping clients build insight, develop tools they can actually use, and feel more confident navigating their relationships and daily lives. Outside of therapy, I enjoy slowing things down and staying grounded through gardening, crocheting, and camping. I’m also a big reader—especially when it comes to romance novels. Family is a central part of my life, and I value the many roles I hold as a wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother. Raising both boys and girls—including twins—has given me a wide range of life experiences that help me connect with clients from all kinds of backgrounds.

My name is Rachel Portlock, and I have been counseling individuals for over six years. I am both a Professional School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. My experience working with children, adolescents, college students, young adults, and adults has given me a unique understanding of the challenges people face during life's many transitions. I believe that counseling should be a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, self-esteem, motivation, relationships, life transitions, academic pressures, career decisions, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to help. Together, we will identify your strengths, explore areas for growth, and create meaningful goals that align with the life you want to live. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I utilize Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-based approaches to help clients develop practical skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, increase self-awareness, and build confidence. I believe that every person already possesses strengths and abilities that can be leveraged to create positive change. I have extensive experience helping children and teens navigate social, emotional, and academic challenges while also supporting college students and adults through important life transitions, career development, relationship concerns, and personal growth. No matter your age or stage of life, my goal is to help you discover the tools, resilience, and confidence needed to thrive. Seeking support is a courageous first step, and you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and becoming the best version of yourself. I look forward to joining you on your journey. I received my Masters in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling with a focus on mental health, and have been practicing 9 years with combined experience in mental health and substance use problems. My therapeutic style is direct and pragmatic, a blend of CBT and solution-focused work – it emphasizes building insight into how life circumstances may be contributing to the way that you’re feeling, taking a practical approach to solving problems, and exploring alternate perspectives that may be more helpful. I believe faith can also play a significant role in healing and moving forward, but I leave this to the discretion of the client.
