About me

As a trauma-informed therapist licensed in Florida and Texas, I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate life's challenges with compassion, clarity, and purpose. My work focuses on supporting clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or the lingering effects of trauma, guiding them toward healing and growth in a safe, nonjudgmental space. My approach is collaborative and empowering. I view you as the expert on your own life, and therapy is a space to reconnect with your strengths and values. Whether you are healing from past trauma, working to strengthen your relationship, or striving to find balance amid stress and uncertainty, I will meet you where you are with empathy and respect. Clients who work with me often describe feeling more empowered, confident, and grounded with an improved ability to manage emotions, communicate effectively, and live with greater intention. My goal is to help you move toward a more meaningful, fulfilling life where you can thrive rather than cope.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be about getting to know each other, exploring what brought you to therapy, and beginning to identify some goals you would like to work toward. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning after a break, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to genuinely connect with clients and create a space where they feel seen, heard, and understood. I approach each session with empathy, authenticity, and curiosity, allowing clients to feel comfortable exploring even the most difficult emotions and experiences. I am known for my active listening and directness, not just hearing what's said, but understanding the deeper meaning behind it. This helps me accurately identify patterns and diagnose underlying issues, allowing me to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and goals. I also believe that healing does not always have to be heavy. I often incorporate humor and warmth into sessions when appropriate, helping clients feel at ease and reminding them that growth can include lightness, laughter, and hope. Together, these strengths allow me to build strong therapeutic relationships and guide clients toward meaningful, lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals or couples who are ready to engage in the therapeutic process and take active steps towards creating meaningful change in their lives. Although they may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, they're motivated to understand themselves more deeply and do the inner work necessary to heal and grow. My ideal client comes to therapy seeking to improve their emotional well-being, relationships, and overall functioning, even if they are unsure where to start. What matters most is their willingness to show up with openness, honesty, and curiosity. Together, we'll explore what's holding them back, identify clear treatment goals, and develop practical strategies for lasting change. My ideal clients value collaboration and are ready to take ownership of their growth, knowing that therapy is not just about insight but about action, resilience, and building a more fulfilling, balanced life.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a treatment intervention that helps individuals stay present and engaged in life even when facing difficult thoughts, emotions, or situations. I often use this intervention to help clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and stress learn how to respond to life's challenges with resilience rather than avoidance.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is an effective treatment intervention that emphasizes the connection between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Engaging in unhelpful thinking can influence how a person feels and then behaves. I often use CBT to help client learn how their thinking is impacting their emotions and actions and find more adaptable ways of responding to life that leads to improve functioning.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a treatment intervention specifically designed to treat individuals diagnosed with PTSD and related conditions (trauma). I use this treatment intervention with trauma clients to help move them from feeling stuck by their traumatic experiences and regain a sense of control, safety, and healing to improve their daily functioning and live a meaningful life.
