About me

Hi there! I’m Ayana, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW degree. As a Christian therapist, I specialize in helping Black and African-American women who are struggling with anxiety, depression, anger management, life transitions, spirituality, and stress. There are times when we find ourselves on autopilot, in a state of being that is mundane, overwhelming, and monotonous. If you are feeling stuck and want more out of life, I'm here to assist with setting goals, overcoming limiting beliefs, and developing appropriate coping skills that will propel you forward in life. I use a combination approach that includes mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and person-centered therapies. These techniques help with grounding and appreciating the present moment while identifying belief patterns that are a hindrance. My services are offered on an easily accessible virtual platform, making it convenient for you to receive the support you need from the comfort of your own space. I believe that seeking therapy is a courageous and empowering step towards improving your overall mental well-being. You have already taken the right step by seeking out a qualified therapist, and I want you to know that I am here for you. Together, we can work on creating a life that feels more fulfilling and aligned with your true self. Outside of my professional life, I value spirituality and the strength it brings to the healing process. I am passionate about helping my clients find balance and peace in their lives. If you're ready to embark on this journey towards better mental health, let's connect and start this transformative process together.

One: I’m grateful for black women in therapy, thanks Dr. Lewis! I struggle with self sabotage often and Dr. Lewis really supports me in getting through these thoughts without feelings of guilt. She gives helpful solutions and simple goals so I can walk out of these intrusive thoughts whole and supported. She’s very consistent with her approach so that I can find where all the worries tie together and loosen their grip on my life.
