I have 8 years of experience offering support for those going through hard things. I hold a Masters degree in Social Work from Tarleton State University. I strive to embrace life's full spectrum and provide space for others while helping them to live their best lives . I have experience working with adults, children and adolescents in an array of settings including shelters, outreach centers, schools and hospitals.
In our first session, we’ll begin with introductions and discuss therapy protocol and expectations. We will then explore the specific challenges you’re facing. This will allow us to develop a customized plan for our future sessions and ensure that we are working together in a way that is best for you. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get the feel for if I will be the best therapist to support your journey.
As a therapist, I bring flexibility, a keen eye for detail, and a friendly approach to our work. I strive to see things from various angles and genuinely enjoy learning about and from you. My focus is on making sure you lead our sessions in a way that feels right for you.
I am passionate about supporting others struggling with anxiety, stress, adult ADHD, self-esteem, women's issues, POC issues, and unhealthy boundaries. I currently work with individuals 18+ who are ready to take the next step in taking ownership of their mental health journey. If you are on a journey towards healing, growth and self discovery, I am a great person to walk along side you.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients understand and connect how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact and influence each other. This insight enables them to make positive changes in areas of their lives where they’re experiencing dysfunction.
I use solution focused bried therapy to give clients the space to shape their own therapy journey. Together we build upon the strengths they have and find practical solutions for their present problems.
I use mindfulness to help clients step out of their heads, moving past regrets and worries to fully engage in the present and experience life as it happens.
