As a first generation college graduate, I understand what it means to navigate systems, expectations, and transitions without a roadmap. My own journey shaped the heart of my work: helping adolescents and young adults who are carrying similar pressures, hopes, and responsibilities. I know the resilience it takes to succeed while balancing family dynamics, cultural identity, and the desire to create a life that feels authentic and self directed. In my practice, I use a solution focused, strengths based approach that empowers clients to identify what’s working, build on their natural abilities, and create meaningful change in their daily lives. I believe therapy should be practical, collaborative, and deeply affirming—especially for individuals who have had to figure out so much on their own. I am passionate about supporting first generation students, high achieving youth, and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds who are navigating identity development, family expectations, academic or career stress, and the pressure to “be the one who makes it.” My goal is to provide a space where clients feel seen, supported, and equipped with tools that help them move forward with steadiness and self‑trust.

I am a seasoned counselor familiar with adolescents, issues of personal development, empowerment, issues about personal power, overcoming fear, and identifying values. I value honesty, courage, self-actualization and altruism. I have worked almost exclusively with males. I see the world from a male perspective because that's the point of view I have experienced life through. I have spent years in the gym. I am a musician, and I play out somewhere every week. There are a few high-stakes, difficult life situations I want to address here: If you are afraid of your child setting a fire, trying to get a gun, or stealing from you in plain sight, reach out. If your child is being bullied, I might be able to help him to acquire the skills necessary to hold his own in life. Finally, if you or a family member is being stalked or threatened by someone, I may be able to professionally assess the danger.

Hi, I’m Jonathan Cangiano, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, anger, and challenges with emotional regulation. I also have experience working with first responders, law enforcement, and individuals navigating high-stress careers and difficult life experiences. My approach is person-centered, practical, and collaborative. I draw from approaches such as CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, and strengths-based therapy to help clients better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I believe therapy should connect to who you are and what matters most to you—not simply focus on symptoms. Whether you're dealing with something that happened recently or carrying something you've been struggling with for years, we can work together to understand what's happening, identify what you want to change, and develop a path forward. You don't have to have the right words or know exactly where to start. We'll start where you are

I'm so glad you found me! I love working with adults concerning anxiety, depression and trauma. Anxiety isn't just fear or nervousness. Anxiety happens when we aren't willing to process difficult emotions. Anxiety can present itself through anger/projection, isolation, busy-ness, and being unusually overwhelmed. As I operate within the Bowen Family Systems theory, a safe space is created that promotes the ability to process these undesired emotions lending the ability to promote emotional resiliency, maturity and balance! My enthusiasm in working with adults who've suffered from past traumas through EMDR is unmatched. EMDR is a type of therapy where past traumas are processed in a safe/controlled manner. I've found most fulfilment in utilizing EMDR with parental wounds. Once those wounds are processed, clarity to withdraw from current dysfunctional patterns can be achieved.

I’m not the type to just sit back and nod silently; I am right there in the trenches with you, bringing my genuine, slightly nerdy self to every session, and I believe everyone has an inner resilience waiting to be unlocked! My life is full, beautifully chaotic, and deeply rewarding. As a spouse and a mother of four, including a wonderful child who is autistic, I intimately understand what it feels like to manage a million moving parts. I know the exhaustion of a racing mind, the weight of sensory and emotional overload, and the delicate art of balancing family, transitions, and personal growth. Because of these lived experiences, I bring a deeply human, judgment-free perspective to my practice. In sessions, we will use evidence-based tools like CBT and DBT to actively build a practical toolkit for your daily life. We will work as a team to quiet the internal noise, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and master concrete skills to regulate intense emotions. For clients who desire it, I gladly incorporate a Christ-centered approach, utilizing scripture and prayer as an anchor for our clinical work. However, if you are currently facing a painful crisis of faith or spiritual burnout, I offer a safe harbor to process those doubts without a shred of judgment. Ultimately, I meet you exactly where you are. My goal is to help you calm the chaos, break through emotional blocks, and reclaim your peace.

I’ll ask gentle questions to better understand your experiences, your history, your strengths and the goal you have for therapy- where you want your life to be, a month, six months, a year from now. Hi, I'm Candice! Life can be complicated, relationships can be confusing, and sometimes our brains refuse to cooperate. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship stress, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, therapy can be a place to slow down, gain insight, and find a path forward. I bring a blend of compassion, curiosity, humor, and practical strategies to the therapy room. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being your authentic self... messy thoughts, big feelings, and all. Together, we'll work to understand what's getting in the way, build on your strengths, and help you move toward the life you want to be living.
