Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have five years experience with adults with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse issues, anxiety, and depression as well as children with ADHD and Autism. I was a Special Education Counselor for two years and previously taught in a classroom for three years. I believe this gives me insight into the education system and struggles children face in the classroom as well as accommodations that can help make their school day more successful. I have experience with a range of assessments for diagnosing ADHD and social skills for children.
The first session is a “get to know you” session where we will discuss what you are having trouble with, what your expectations are, and a social history.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to specifically identify behavioral patterns and help you recognize those patterns and work on changing the thoughts behind them. Mindfulness- This is like a “moment to catch your breath and reflect”, I find it especially useful to children and parents who may each need a moment to calm down and collect their thoughts before behaviors and words get out of hand.
I feel my biggest strengths are: my ability to connect with my clients and understand where they are coming from, and my understanding of the special education system.
Children- 7 and up Adults with health issues (cancer, MS, Lupus, heart issues) Seniors Perinatal

She warm and caring. She allows me to vent my feelings and then makes understand that it’s okay. She has taught me it’s okay to self care and not feel guilty. In fact she encourage. I feel like I’m talking to a great friend in a peaceful environment.
