For me, being a counselor is so much more than a job—it's a calling of the highest order. I count it a true privilege to walk with the hurting through the dark and heavy places. Whether you’re navigating daily stress, dealing with workplace burnout, processing relationship or family struggles, or facing deep personal crises, I want you to know one thing: you don't have to carry it all by yourself.
I don't believe in 'fixing' people because I don't see you as broken. Instead, we’ll work together to look at the whole picture, celebrate your resilience, and build skills that bring both immediate relief and long-term healing. We’ll uncover your natural strengths, untangle the things holding you back, and help you feel grounded, confident, and genuinely hopeful as the best version of yourself. You don't have to have all the answers right now—we’ll figure them out together.

Hi I'm Berekat Petros, a licensed mental health counselor. I've been a practicing therapist for over 12 years in various settings, working with a diverse client population. I love the therapy experience and watching my clients get better through our work together. I have been fortunate thus far in my career to have worked with hundreds of clients, and have enjoyed the privilege of helping them. I have strong academic foundation in evidenced based treatment methodologies, and to that I add lessons learned from my own life experiences as a husband, a dad and a friend.
I am a proud graduate of Texas A&M University–Kingsville with a strong passion for helping others and building meaningful connections. I am dedicated to supporting individuals through compassion, professionalism, and empathy, with a commitment to making a positive impact in every interaction. I enjoy creating supportive environments where people feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow and achieve their personal goals.
I am a therapist who shows up with both professional expertise and lived experience. As a mom and wife, I understand firsthand how demanding, beautiful, overwhelming, and transformative life can be. I know what it feels like to juggle responsibilities, care for others, and still try to make space for yourself. That lived understanding shapes the way I support my clients. I don’t just teach coping skills — I honor the real‑life pressures that make those skills hard to practice. I meet people where they are, with compassion, clarity, and a belief that small, intentional shifts can create meaningful change.
Mindfulness is a core part of how I move through my own life, and it naturally influences my work. I believe mindfulness isn’t about perfection or long meditation sessions — it’s about learning to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself in the middle of everyday moments. Whether it’s a busy morning, a stressful conversation, or a moment of self‑doubt, mindfulness helps us slow down enough to respond rather than react. It’s a powerful tool for grounding, emotional regulation, and building resilience, and I weave it into therapy in simple, practical ways that fit real life.
I work with teenagers navigating identity, self‑esteem, and life transitions; adults healing from trauma and unresolved emotional wounds; and individuals who feel overwhelmed by pressure, anxiety, or depression and struggle to find space for self‑care. My intention is always empowerment and transformation. I help clients understand their stories, break old patterns, strengthen their inner resources, and build lives that feel more grounded, meaningful, and aligned with who they truly are. I walk alongside them with warmth, curiosity, and a steady belief in their capacity to grow.

I am also a proud, female, United States Military Veteran. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, and young adults struggling with a multitude of issues to include depression, anxiety, parenting skills, infidelity, sex addiction, intimacy concerns, suicidal ideation, self harm, grief, PTSD, addiction, abuse, trauma, and ADHD. I have personally faced a number of struggles throughout my life which I successfully overcame and find much joy in teaching skills to help others overcome obstacles. “Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” — C.S. Lewis.
I believe we all have the ability to heal and transform our lives - and we all have a unique path to get us there. Let’s discover your deepest truths together so that your heart and mind may be renewed and you might live more abundantly. If you're willing to do some work, I will work hard to create a safe space for you, and we can collaborate on this journey together. I have Master's degrees in Counseling and Religious Studies, so I can incorporate spiritual guidance into counseling if you would like(completely optional). I also have training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and worked previously as a hospital chaplain which was an incredible experience. However, I'm proud to say that I have formed wonderful relationships with clients of all bends, and even of no particular faith background. I have respect for all faiths and traditions as long as they are life-giving.
"You shall know [Your] truth, and it shall set you free."
Therapy, to me, is about real human connection. It is about creating a space where you can show up as yourself without feeling judged, analyzed, or pressured to have everything figured out. You do not have to come into therapy with the perfect words or even know exactly what you want to work on. Sometimes the first step is simply having a place where you can slow things down, be honest about what is going on, and begin making sense of it.
My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and built around curiosity. I want therapy to feel like something we are doing together, not something being done to you. We will look at the experiences, relationships, beliefs, habits, and patterns that have shaped your life while also paying attention to the strengths and resilience that have helped you get this far. My goal is to help you understand yourself more clearly, develop healthier ways of navigating challenges, and create changes that actually feel realistic/meaningful for your life.
I work with individuals, couples, families, and teens dealing with a wide range of concerns, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, identity, confidence, communication, family dynamics, and personal growth. I also enjoy working with people who may not feel like they are in crisis but simply want to better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, or figure out what they want their next chapter to look like.
I want my clients to feel seen, respected, and comfortable enough to be real. I strive to create an inclusive and affirming environment for people of all backgrounds, cultures, identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and life experiences. My role is not to tell you who to be. It is to help you better understand who you are, what matters to you, and how to move forward.
Helping others has always been deeply important to me, and my experiences working with individuals facing emotional, physical, and life challenges inspired me to pursue counseling. I specialize in supporting individuals living with chronic pain or illness, caregivers experiencing burnout, and those navigating stress, emotional difficulties, or major life transitions. My goal is to provide a compassionate and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to develop healthier coping skills, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and purposeful life or relationship takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
I’m passionate about walking with people as they navigate healing, growth, and self-discovery—especially those in communities that have often been overlooked or underserved. My journey to becoming a therapist has been shaped by a variety of roles: school teacher, parole officer, child protective services investigator, state benefits worker, and therapy aide for individuals with brain injuries. Each experience deepened my understanding of resilience, empathy, and the importance of community connection.
In our work together, no concern is “too small.” This is your space to feel seen, heard, and supported as you sort through the things that matter most to you. I see therapy as a collaborative process—we’ll work together to explore your strengths, challenges, and goals, at a pace that feels right for you.
My counseling style is flexible and eclectic, pulling from different therapeutic approaches to fit your needs. Whether we’re focusing on reflection, problem-solving, or new ways of coping, the goal is to create a plan that feels authentic and useful to you. I built my practice on a simple belief: people deserve a space where they feel seen, supported, and understood. My work in clinical psychology is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person’s story. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, healing from trauma, or simply trying to make sense of a difficult season in life, I aim to create an environment where they can breathe, settle, and begin the work of growth.
Clients often describe me as steady, approachable, and easy to talk to. I value clear communication, gentle guidance, and a collaborative approach that honors each person’s strengths. My practice is designed to feel welcoming from the very first interaction — from the intake process to ongoing sessions — because I know how vulnerable it can be to reach out for help.
I’m drawn to evidencebased care that still leaves room for humanity. I enjoy learning new therapeutic tools, refining clinical systems, and creating a practice that feels both professional and deeply personal. My goal is always the same: to help people feel safe enough to explore, supported enough to heal, and empowered enough to move forward.
Outside of session, I stay curious about the human experience — reading, learning, and exploring ideas in psychology, wellness, and personal growth. At the heart of my work is a genuine belief in people: their resilience, their capacity to change, and the meaningful transformations that happen when they feel truly supported.

I work with clients from adolescents to adults who are struggling with trauma and abuse. I pursue ongoing training to refine my skills and learn the newest techniques to better serve my clients.
I’m Dan—a dedicated, down-to-earth therapist with a background that gives me deep empathy for those who’ve experienced trauma and adversity. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and began my career in the field as a school counselor, where I developed a strong foundation in supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Over time, my work has grown to focus on helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, and patterns that may feel overwhelming or difficult to change.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Motivational Interviewing. I tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs, helping clients build practical skills while also gaining deeper insight into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
I strive to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are. Whether you are feeling stuck, seeking clarity, or wanting to make meaningful changes in your life, my goal is to walk alongside you at your pace and support you in building greater balance, confidence, and emotional well-being.

Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with adolescents and young adults navigating life transitions, stress, and emotional challenges. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), while also incorporating Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you better understand and process your emotions. Together, we’ll work to reframe unhelpful thought patterns, process past experiences, and build practical tools to help you feel more confident, balanced, and in control.
Hi, I’m Christa Gibbs, M.Ed., LPC. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale—a space where you feel heard, supported, and never judged. With over 30 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, I strive to create an environment where people feel safe enough to be honest, grow, and heal.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I use evidence-based techniques while meeting each person where they are, helping clients build confidence, strengthen relationships, process difficult experiences, and develop the tools they need to move forward with hope. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, parenting challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you.
