About me

With more than fifteen years of experience in social services, I have had the privilege of working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds. These experiences deeply impact my approach as a mental health professional. Before becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master of Science in Counseling. I currently provide psychotherapy for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and phase‑of‑life transitions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I have an integrative approach to therapy that is best described as client-centered, and includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In therapy there is no "one size fits all," so this helps explore and address your specific and unique needs. This approach meets you at your current stage, but will not leave you there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Sessions are honest and supportive. Building a trusting environment is essential to the work we do together. Throughout the therapeutic process, you will be encouraged to think critically, stay open and authentic as you challenge yourself and move towards your goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone navigating phase‑of‑life transitions, anxiety, or depression and is ready to engage in meaningful therapeutic work. Whether they are beginning therapy for the first time or returning as an experienced client, they come with a willingness to explore their experiences, challenge old patterns, and participate openly in the therapeutic process. I work best with individuals who value collaboration, personal growth, and the opportunity to build insight that supports lasting change.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person- Centered approach focuses on creating a warm, non‑judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. It does not push specific solutions, it supports the idea that clients have the inner resources to grow and make meaningful changes, while the therapist works alongside them to explore their thoughts and feelings. This approach helps clients feel empowered, supported, and actively involved in their own healing process.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavior approach helps clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and how shifting unhelpful thinking patterns can lead to emotional and behavioral change. In therapy, the client is encouraged to identify negative or automatic thoughts and practice more balanced, realistic ways of thinking.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior approach focuses on helping clients manage intense emotions, develop healthier coping skills, and improve relationships through practical, structured techniques. In therapy, clients learn skills like mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and effective communication to apply in real‑life situations. This approach helps clients stay grounded, handle challenges more effectively, and make choices that align with their long‑term goals.
