I am a licensed professional counselor from Houston, TX. I am very passionate about my role as a counselor. I have been counseling students in a high school setting for the past six years and I have experience working in a private practice as well. I have experience in working with teens, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of concerns including alcoholism, domestic violence, drug abuse, self-harming, depression, stress, and relationship/marital issues.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session, we'll start with brief introductions, complete assessments, and dive into what brought you to counseling. We will also identify goals that you would like to accomplish while participating in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I really enjoy what I do and I have had success in helping clients to achieve their best outcomes. I am an empathetic provider who will tailor my approach to meet your needs throughout our time together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based treatment modality that I use to help clients understand and address the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach focuses on identifying unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress or problematic behaviors, and collaboratively working with clients to reframe these thoughts into more adaptive and realistic perspectives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a strengths-based, goal-oriented therapeutic approach that I use to help clients identify and build on their existing resources to create meaningful change in their lives. Rather than focusing extensively on problems or past issues, I guide clients toward envisioning their preferred future and identifying small, actionable steps to achieve their goals.
