I am a licensed professional counselor based in Houston, Texas, with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments. My background includes 10 years as a high school guidance counselor and 5 years in private practice, where I’ve had the privilege of working with adolescents, couples, and adults from diverse backgrounds. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship and marital concerns, domestic violence, self-harm, and stress management. I am deeply committed to creating a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change. Whether you're navigating a personal crisis, seeking to strengthen your relationships, or simply looking for support, I bring compassion, professionalism, and evidence-based strategies to help you meet your goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll begin with introductions and take time to discuss what brings you to counseling in a supportive and nonjudgmental space. I’ll guide you through a brief assessment to better understand your background and current concerns, and together we’ll begin to identify meaningful goals for our work together. This session is about building a foundation of trust and clarity, so you can feel comfortable and empowered as we move forward in the therapeutic process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a compassionate and dedicated counselor who genuinely values the therapeutic relationship. I bring warmth, empathy, and active listening to each session, and I tailor my approach to align with your unique needs, goals, and personal experiences. Clients often share that they feel truly seen and supported in our work together. My goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and move toward lasting positive change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with teens, adolescents, and adults who are navigating a wide range of emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges. My ideal clients are individuals or couples seeking support in areas such as depression, anxiety, relationship and marital concerns, trauma, substance use, and stress management. I also have a passion for helping those struggling with self-worth, identity development, and life transitions. Whether you are facing long-standing issues or recent difficulties, I provide a supportive, culturally responsive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, evidence-based treatment modality that I use to help clients understand and address the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. My approach focuses on identifying unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that contribute to emotional distress or problematic behaviors, and collaboratively working with clients to reframe these thoughts into more adaptive and realistic perspectives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a strengths-based, goal-oriented therapeutic approach that I use to help clients identify and build on their existing resources to create meaningful change in their lives. Rather than focusing extensively on problems or past issues, I guide clients toward envisioning their preferred future and identifying small, actionable steps to achieve their goals.
