Dear Prospective Clients, MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING FOR MIND RENEWAL I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC) in the State of Texas and, a Board-Certified Counselor (BCCC) recognized by the National Association of Christian Counselors (NACC). I started out as a Teacher in Inner and Outer London schools in the United Kingdom working with children, adolescents, and their families. I have worked with clients from all walks of life, including clients from all faith/no faith background comprising of children, adolescents, adults, and their families. I am very passionate about Counseling, and I believe that I can help the needy to stand strong and work towards gaining a sober/sound mind. This is achievable via entering into a therapeutic partnership as iron begins to sharpen iron according to the Christian word of faith. This is based on the believe that every human being is loaded with unique strength and potentials, and as we work together, those dormant strength and potentials will be reactivated and unleashed to enable my client to reach his/her desired goals.
My clients will be assured and guaranteed of confidentiality issues, and they will be able to put their trust in me, and not being held back from sharing their thoughts and concerns with me. They will be working together with me in a therapeutic relationship that will enable them to explore their hidden potentials, empowering them to deal with their presenting problems. At the end of the first session, clients will feel a sense of upliftment and well-motivated to face their challenges.
I have great listening skills, always genuine and showing empathy. Clients are able to feel comfortable with me and to express themselves fully while working with me. I bring out the best in them, even in the face of hopelessness and helplessness.
I provide homework and activities that helps my clients to navigate through their presenting problems.
I apply CBT to challenge a client's faulty thinking and to replace them with positive thinking.
I apply faith-based approaches in my provision of mental health care.
