Greetings! I’m Zandra, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas specializing in anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming or uncomfortable, but it is also a powerful step toward self-discovery and growth. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful change. I believe healing and growth are possible for everyone, and I’m honored to support you on that journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, review confidentiality, and discuss what you hope to gain from our work together. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out — we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you and begin shaping a plan that supports your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. I create space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions while gently helping you identify and shift patterns or beliefs that may be holding you back. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel supported, understood, and empowered.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or going through periods of change. My client-centered approach means meeting you where you are, offering genuine acceptance, and honoring your unique experiences. Whether you’re seeking relief, clarity, or personal growth, I welcome you just as you are.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to gently help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a practical and supportive approach that can be helpful in navigating emotional challenges, managing symptoms of mental health concerns, and reducing the likelihood of symptom relapse. Together, we work to identify unhelpful patterns and develop healthier, more balanced ways of thinking that support lasting growth and emotional well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a compassionate, skills-based approach rooted in CBT that focuses on helping clients feel more grounded and in control of their emotions. In our work together, DBT emphasizes mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and strengthening relationships. I approach DBT with warmth and encouragement, helping clients build practical tools they can use in everyday life while honoring their unique experiences and challenges.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative and empowering approach that supports clients in discovering their own reasons for change. I use MI to help clients explore ambivalence in a nonjudgmental way, strengthen their confidence, and reconnect with their internal motivation. This approach honors where you are in your journey and allows change to unfold in a way that feels authentic and self-directed.
