From this perspective, we can better understand how to approach any difficulties that occur in your life.
Do you need guidance in finding happiness and fulfillment in your life?
Do you need someone who can help find your strengths?
Are you having trouble achieving healthy relationships because of childhood wounds, traumatic experiences or low self esteem?

Don't leave yourself alone with your suffering. Let's work together to find meaningful purpose in your life's turmoil.
Emotional and psychological traumas happen to everyone. It can be caused by a one time event, ongoing relentless stress or commonly overlooked events such as work, death, break-up/divorce, surgery, humiliating experience or childhood attachment wounds. Working through trauma alone is daunting, lonely, re-traumatizing. A trauma specialist can help with your healing.

Fulfilling our potential is a lifelong journey of becoming more at peace with ourselves, deepening the intimacy in our relationships, being more authentically human, and feeling more alive each day. Along the way, certain challenges arise to cause us distress or confusion. Such moments can make us feel held back, afraid, or unsure of where to go from here. But these moments can also be the points of growth and healing from which we renew ourselves in ways we did not think possible.
It is a great privilege helping men and women in their search to improve their relationship with themselves and others, to lessen the burden of emotional pain, to experience freedom from addictions, or to embark on new life challenges - to find the hope and courage needed to take those important next steps.
I have worked in an inpatient behavioral health center for the last 15 years which has provided me a great opportunity to gain experience with most of the reasons why someone would seek therapy. I prefer to not take the role of the "expert" in therapy and feel it is important to have a collaborative approach. That doesn't mean that I won't challenge you or point out maladaptive behavioral patterns/thought processes. I pride myself on being personal and authentic while keeping the focus on you.

“My style of therapy draws from Cognitive Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment therapy/mindfulness. My passion is for learning your story and working alongside you to find the solutions that work for you. I’m here to help you examine what you’ve already lived through and find the path forward. In my work with people with trauma I’ve learned that we often need the reminder – no matter what you have struggled with; you are a survivor and that needs to be brought to light. Keeping that in mind, I am guided by the client towards the goals that they feel are necessary for their treatment.”

Hello, and welcome! My introduction to the counseling field began while working within therapeutic group homes that served children through adults experiencing mental health struggles. This experience, both enriching and meaningful, inspired my interest in pursuing counseling. I was deeply moved by the varying degrees of challenging life experiences that we are all tasked with navigating and the ways we attempt to cope, gain insight from, and hopefully transform our adverse circumstances. I received my Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University and since, I’ve had the opportunity to assist a diverse range of clients in both inpatient treatment and outpatient therapy settings, and more recently, at a college counseling clinic at the University of Montana. Within these programs, I’ve helped clients address anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, academic challenges, relationships, identity changes, sexuality, and general life stressors.
I am grateful that I can work to help individuals navigate the evolving nature of their lives by providing unconditional positive regard, encouragement, and supportive guidance.

That is where therapy can help.

Rooted in a Person-Centered philosophy, I believe you are the ultimate expert on your own life. Together, we work as equal partners—shifting the focus from 'what is wrong with you' to honoring how you’ve survived what you've been through. By blending this deep empathy with practical, humanistic DBT skills, we won't just talk about change; we will actively collaborate to build the real-world tools—like mindfulness and emotion regulation—that help you reclaim your power and create a life that feels truly worth living.
Are you experiencing high levels of stress, anxiety and burnout? Is life feeling a bit too much for you right now and leading to depression, low energy, decreased productivity and interpersonal relationship problems? Would you like to take some time to get your life back from all of this? Better days are ahead, and I am here to help! At the root of many of the issues that bring people to therapy is past trauma and adverse events. I am a professional counselor licensed in Pennsylvania and a trauma, OCD and PTSD specialist with over 20 years of experience helping clients with a diverse set of concerns including depression, anxiety, career issues, stress management, substance abuse, work-life balance, and bereavement.
I believe in a compassionate, collaborative, and integrative approach acknowledging the contributions of mind, body and spirit to help you identify your strengths and external resources and to develop tools to not only meet life's challenges, but to thrive despite them. Therapy with me is a safe place to explore thoughts and feelings, gain insight into patterns, intrapersonal and interpersonal dynamics and to put that insight into action in your day-to-day life so that you are achieving all that you have set out to do.
I have been working in the field of counseling since 2007. Specialties include: Teenagers and young adults with anxiety, depression, borderline personalities, and LGBTQ+. I enjoy the teenage population because they are the most overlooked. I received my LPC license in 2020 after working in the field for 13 years. I have worked in the field of drug and alcohol, private practice, school settings doing wrap-around, and inpatient settings. In my downtime, I enjoy coaching soccer and reffing, along with many other sports, with my 7 kids and 2 grandbabies.
