My name is Christina Burnett and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Penn State University, University Park, PA in 2010. In 2017, I received my master’s degree in social work from the University of New England, Biddeford, ME. While obtaining my master’s degree I began my counseling career in 2015 in community mental health and substance abuse treatment assisting and advocating for adult men and women who were involved in the criminal and family court systems. After graduating from the University of New England, I obtained my LSW in April of 2018 and began my clinical supervision. In June of 2020, I passed the Pennsylvania Board of Social Work’s licensure exam and obtained my LCSW (#CW021224). In 2018 I also acquired my Level One certification in cognitive behavioral therapy from the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists. My experience in the field of mental health includes helping adult clients navigate life transitions, substance use/abuse/dependence, relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, and stress associated with legal/work issues. My clinical orientation is client-centered focusing on cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, empowerment, and solution-focused approaches. I am truly passionate about the counseling field and sincerely look forward to having a collaborative, therapeutic relationship with you to find solutions and relief to obtain better mental wellness.
