Hi there! I'm assuming you made it to my page because life has gotten particularly difficult and you're searching for some sort of direction or confirmation that "you are not crazy for feeling that way". We are not crazy for feeling - and therapy can help assist you in understanding why some emotions are more difficult to feel than others. Recovery is about learning tolerance; not forgetting and dismissing your experiences. I am experienced in working in both outpatient offices and inpatient hospital settings where I support clients in addressing issues stemming from generational trauma, relationships, grief and loss, life adjustments, substance use / other addictions, anxiety, and serious mental illness. I view therapy as a process that requires learning about vulnerability and accountability and then applying both for results.
Hi, I am Lindsey (she/her) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all people on their journey. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have worked as a therapist treating adults in individual and group therapy for 4 years. I specialize in anxiety, grief, and trauma. My approach includes therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narriative Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. I'm always looking to expand my approach to best support my clients. My experience has been with community mental heath, two CIRC programs, and providing short term grief therapy at the Medical Examiner's office. Each of these have provided me with greater understanding of the system of care of Philadelphia and the reality of navigating it especially when resources can be nonexistent for housing or other basic needs. My specialities in grief and trauma are two sides of the same coin - intense loss can be traumatic. This philosophy is central to how I approach supporting clients in their journey. Both need to be address to help the healing really start.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals with complex and high acuity mental health needs. My work is grounded in trauma informed and trauma responsive care, with a strong commitment to creating inclusive, affirming spaces for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent clients, and individuals in rural communities. I work across the lifespan, including children (7+), adults, older adults, families, and couples.
My approach is collaborative and empowering, centered on the belief that clients are the experts in their own lives and require my clinical expertise. I often describe my role as “working myself out of a job” to help clients build the insight, skills, and confidence needed to advocate for themselves and navigate systems independently. As a trauma specialist, I tailor evidence based interventions to each client’s identities, needs, strengths, and goals. My primary approaches include Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)-(EMDRIA certification pending), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. I also integrate Internal Family Systems informed interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exposure based strategies, mindfulness, and other approaches as clinically appropriate. I adapt treatment for neurodivergent clients and clients with intellectual or developmental disabilities because therapy should adjust to the person and not require the person to adjust to therapy.
I am continually shaped by the courage, insight, and lived experiences clients bring into our work. Every advanced training, specialty, certification, and state license reflect lessons learned from clients. I carry their trust, stories, and influence into every session with gratitude and responsibility.

Hello,
My name is Pam, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I've been working in the field of mental health in various roles for about 10 years now. I have done individual, group and family/systemic therapy and I have worked as a Clinical Director in a community mental health agency. Most recently, I've worked in a correctional setting. My priority in treatment is establishing a strong foundation of trust with my clients. I am laid back and relatable in many ways, and I tend to work from a strengths-based perspective. YOU are the expert on your life and we will build off of inherent strengths and skills you already possess.
I have worked for many years as a counselor and therapist. I believe that everyone has a story; and every story should be valued and deeply understood. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families unpack their stories and move toward healing from individual hurts and broken relationships. I named my practice Strength for Living because the journey sometimes gets too difficult to manage alone; we sometimes need help to find strength to keep moving forward. I use a variety of treatments to meet clients where they are, and help them move toward hope and recovery. Trauma-informed, evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and emotionally focused therapy can help you take a deeper look at your experiences and the patterns that interrupt your relationships with others. Taking a deep look at your own painful experiences can be hard work! Digging into your thoughts and feelings can be scary. It can also be your first step toward healing and restoration. If you are suffering, don't continue to suffer alone. Strength for Living is here to offer a safe place to begin your journey toward healing.
I have over 30 years of experience providing counseling and therapy services to adults of all ages and backgrounds. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic interventions, including EMDR for trauma.
I provide individual and couples therapy in a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where we can address your challenges together. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, older adults issues, serious medical conditions and advance care planning (including end-of-life decisions), trauma, and supporting families of those struggling with substance use., LGBTQI+, and neurodiversity issues.
I will support you while also compassionately challenging you when needed, so that the progress and growth you are seeking can take place.
I look forward to working with you!

What matters most to me is creating a warm, safe space where you can be honest and authentic without judgment. Therapy is a journey, and I’m here to walk alongside you, offering support, guidance, and practical skills you can use both in and outside of our sessions. Whether it’s learning to manage anxiety, navigating difficult transitions, or working through grief or relationship struggles, I’ll be with you every step of the way.
Thank you so much for considering me as your counselor. I truly look forward to getting to know you and being part of your self-growth journey!
Hi there, I'm Kate. Do you find yourself struggling to manage daily life and relationships because of anxiety, OCD, depression, and/or trauma? Do you often feel alone and that no one understands you or your struggles?
I see you.
My concentration is working with adolescents and adults living with symptoms of trauma, anxiety, OCD, and panic disorder. Treatment is individualized and adapted to each individual client and concern. We will work together using evidenced-based techniques practicing an integrative approach including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness strategies to help you achieve your goals.
My current certifications include Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional-II (CCTP-II). I also have advanced training in the treatment of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, and phobias through the use of ERP and CBT (Exposure and Response Prevention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Please note, I am currently working toward certification in EMDR and attend regular consultation.
My goal is for you to learn the skills necessary to work me out of a job. Let's get to work!
