About me

I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and respected. As an attentive listener, I use empathy, active listening, and client-centered therapeutic approaches to help individuals explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, overcome personal challenges, and achieve meaningful goals. My therapeutic style is strengths-based, culturally sensitive, and focused on empowering each client to create positive and lasting change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is an opportunity for us to introduce ourselves and begin getting to know one another in a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment. Clients will have an opportunity to share what brought them to therapy, discuss their concerns, and identify what they hope to accomplish. I will also explain the therapeutic process, answer questions, and begin collaborating with the client on goals for treatment. There is no pressure to share everything immediately; the focus is on building trust, comfort, and a strong therapeutic relationship.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring empathy, patience, active listening, and a nonjudgmental approach to every session. I create a safe and supportive environment where clients can speak openly, feel understood, and work through challenges at their own pace. My approach stands out because I meet clients where they are while also encouraging accountability, personal growth, and meaningful change. I work collaboratively with each client to identify their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and create realistic goals that support lasting progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, low self-esteem, or challenges related to substance use and recovery. They may feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsure of where to begin but are willing to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I enjoy working with individuals who want a safe, nonjudgmental space to feel heard, gain insight, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Clients do not need to have everything figured out—they only need to be open to taking the first step.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns, explore how they affect daily life, and develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. Clients also learn practical coping and problem-solving skills that support positive and lasting change. I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills to help clients manage intense emotions, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and respond to challenging situations more effectively. Clients learn practical strategies involving mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, communication, and healthy boundary-setting. I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their feelings about change in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Through open-ended questions, reflective listening, and collaboration, I help clients identify their personal reasons for change, work through uncertainty, and strengthen their confidence and motivation to accomplish their goals. I use a person-centered approach to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I meet clients where they are and allow them to explore their experiences at a comfortable pace. Therapy is collaborative, with each client’s individual needs, values, and goals guiding the process.
