New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a strong background in healthcare and clinical settings. I earned my BSW from Shippensburg University and my MSW from Marywood University, and I am also a Certified Social Worker in Healthcare (C-SWHC) through the NASW. My experience includes working in hospitals, supporting individuals and families through death and dying, and providing care related to substance use, recovery, domestic violence, and sexual assault. I strive to offer a compassionate, client-centered space where individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing process.
During your first visit, we’ll focus on getting to know one another and understanding what brings you to therapy in a comfortable, supportive environment. We’ll talk about your goals for therapy, which may include coping more effectively with current stressors, strengthening relationships, processing past experiences, or creating practical steps toward change. I work collaboratively, so goals are flexible and shaped by your needs, values, and pace. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered from the very first session.
I work with clients using a solution-focused approach that emphasizes strengths, resilience, and practical steps toward meaningful change. Alongside this, I incorporate narrative therapy to help clients explore and reframe the stories they hold about themselves and their experiences. I also draw from feminist-based therapy, recognizing the impact of social, cultural, and systemic influences while prioritizing collaboration, empowerment, and client voice. Together, we work to build insight, agency, and sustainable strategies that support growth and healing.
I work with both men and women over the age of 18 for individual therapy for a variety of issues. I see men via telehealth only but do see women both via telehealth and in person. I have experience in working with patients who have experienced substance abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, chronic illness, grief, suicidal ideations and self-harming beahviors. .
