I’m Dr. Marston, a psychologist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in cognitive-behavior therapy—the gold standard for evidence-based treatment. I’m also a professor and author, passionate about blending cutting-edge research with compassionate care to make therapy as effective as possible.
What sets my approach apart? I believe great therapy combines a deep understanding of psychology, clinical expertise, and genuine encouragement. A former client once said, “Dr. Marston is a great psychologist. He can be tough sometimes, but that’s exactly what I needed.” That balance of challenge and support is at the heart of what I offer.

I look forward to meeting you!
Are you feeling tired, overwhelmed, or stuck? Maybe you’ve been carrying too much for too long—showing up for others while quietly putting your own needs aside. Perhaps you find yourself saying yes when you really want to say no, or struggling to understand the love language of the people closest to you. Do you feel conflicted, pulled in many different directions, as though something inside you is being stretched too thin? Maybe part of you grieves what might have been, while another part worries about missing what is right here, today, in this present moment. Perhaps you’re navigating difficult relationships, caregiving responsibilities, or a season of life that feels heavier than you expected.
You don’t have to go through this alone.
I offer a gentle, supportive space where you can slow down, breathe, and simply be yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and reconnect with your strengths.
With over 25 years of experience, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as trauma, emotional dysregulation, impulse control difficulties, chronic stress, self-harming behaviors, and adoption-related concerns. Today, my focus is helping adults build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and experience meaningful growth.
I earned my Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation in Ohio. As a full-time lecturer at Case Western Reserve University, I remain closely connected to the latest research and evidence-based practices.
I provide individual therapy, and I enjoy working with adults who feel ready to better understand themselves, shift old patterns, and move toward greater balance.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out—I would be honored to support you on your journey.

Hello, I’m Tomika, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a supervisory designation. I offer telehealth therapy services to individuals and families across all age groups, with flexible appointments including evenings and weekends. My areas of expertise include trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), both of which have proven effective for my clients.
I draw from evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in creating meaningful change. Through ACT, I help clients reduce the struggle with difficult thoughts and emotions, normalize discomfort, build mindfulness skills, clarify values, and take action toward what matters most. With CBT, I assist clients in recognizing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while challenging unhelpful patterns and building healthier ones. Using DBT, I focus on helping clients regulate emotions, manage distress, and improve relationships through mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. In my work with couples, I emphasize effective communication, rebuilding trust, and understanding one another’s needs to determine whether and how to move forward in their relationship.
My therapeutic approach centers on creating a safe, supportive environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I believe therapy is collaborative and focus on empowering clients to enact positive change, develop practical skills, and achieve personal growth. Each session is designed to leave you with tools to support your journey toward peace of mind, balance, and fulfillment.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or a life transition, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way.
Hi! My name is Jana! Thank you for reading my profile :) I want you to know a little about me so you can decide if you'd like to schedule with me. I am licensed in Ohio and I have been a Therapist for over 10 years. I have been doing teletherapy for quite awhile now and I much prefer it to in-office settings. I am a mother to 3 wild kiddos, I live in the country and I [try to] make friends with feral cats. I am very chatty, I enjoy getting to know the people that I am working with. I have a lot of experience in several areas: domestic violence, narcissism, autism, intellectual disabilities, adhd, depression, pregnancy loss, anxiety, parenting issues, life changes, bullying, etc. I like a natural conversation style in sessions so it is as comfortable as possible! FYI: I'm not currently accepting couples and I don't write recommendation letters for ESA/service animals due to the potential liability.
I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004, and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000, and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children.
My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved.
I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be.
My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. We are in session to work together, not have me tell you what to do or where you need to go.
I have been a professional social work counselor for around 15 years, working primarily with adults that struggle with severe persistent mental illness. I have been able to utilize and hone my skills of active listening, empathy and guidance over the years to help clients gain resiliency throughout the struggles they may face with SPMI. Over the course of my career thus far, I have worked with clients from varying backgrounds and age ranges of 18 up to senior adults, helping them discover new coping skills and listening to their journey.
I am a psychotherapist with over 15 years of clinical experience. My work experience includes outpatient mental health, individual and couples therapy, support groups and substance abuse treatment. I am passionate about working with people who struggle with depression and anxiety. These are very treatable conditions and I offer a personalized approach that gets results.
My focus is on a variety of life issues that impede the unique potential of the individual. These include substance abuse and dependency, Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as major life events that happen to us all. I works with people from all walks of life including children, couples, and adults. Person centered counseling is not a platform on which one seeks advice or fears being judged, as if “under the microscope”. Rather it is a collaborative conversation based on unconditional positive regard, in which counselor and client journey together towards the client’s realization of meaning and goals.
I am licensed in the state of Ohio with 10 years of professional experience. I have helped clients with stress, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse, anger management, motivation, self-esteem, and other concerns. Thank you for taking the steps to engage in therapy. I provide a space where clients can be their authentic selves, allowing them to discuss and process life events that contribute to their distress. A key focus is helping clients overcome mental anguish by fostering a supportive environment, providing encouragement, and teaching effective coping skills. This enables them to enhance their enjoyment of life and improve their mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

Many people turn to psychotherapy or counseling for help with anxiety, depression, trauma, painful relationship patterns, feeling stuck, or sometimes just the feeling that something is missing from life. Sometimes we may not have the words to describe our feelings, struggles, or suffering. However, with insight into past relationships and experiences, many people can make progress immediately toward overcoming these difficulties and becoming more effective in their work and relationships. I am a licensed clinician with 20 years of experience helping individuals achieve a more fulfilling life.

I have a heart for working with kids and teens with traumatic experiences. My passion began while I was still in high school and wanted to be a teacher. I worked in various daycare facilities as well as having my own in-home daycare and decided I wanted to help kids (and adults) in a more in-depth manner. That is when I began my journey into social work and found my true calling in life.
I have experience working with children and adolescents who have been through, or are currently in, the child welfare system as well as working with older teens with substance abuse/misuse issues.

Hearing others dismiss your pain, telling you that you’re “overreacting.”
Facing challenges in your relationship—whether it’s conflict, thoughts of divorce, or infidelity.
Working through identity concerns (gender, body image, or self-worth).
Feeling pressure to be perfect, or feeling angry, stuck, and stressed without healthy coping tools.
If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know: you are not alone, and help is possible. Together, we can create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal.
I practice by a simple model: words are only soothing to the ear but my acts of tenderness and kindness act as a beacon to guide you through your turbulent times. This simple phrase means I can offer words of encouragement but it is my actions that make a difference. Please recognize that life can one better or bitter. We can work to build to make life better.

Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach. There will always be room for suggestions concerning our work together, including keeping each other accountable.
My name is Amber. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Ohio. My role is to empower you on this journey of self-actualization. I bring authenticity, warmth, and a solution-oriented approach. We will be working side by side to identify your goals, values, and strengths. From there, we will process past experiences to help you move on to becoming your best self. I have been helping clients achieve their goals for the past several years. These clients range from the age of one-year-old to over fifty-years-old. About 60% of my clients are 12 and under. In working with younger children, I have had the most success using telehealth when parents are present to monitor, arrange a predictable environment, and assist with any technical issues. In working with younger children, the parents’ role is vital. I work as a team with parents and caregivers to build a healthy relationship and find the appropriate strengths-based parenting strategies for the child. Recommended parenting techniques are largely based on the Conscious Discipline model which encourages mindful parenting. With younger children, the parents’ cooperation is imperative to reach desired behavioral goals. I also draw from the approaches outlined in Working with Challenging Youth by Brent Richardson, Ed.D.
As a mental health therapist with over 25 years of experience, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals, families, children, and couples. Throughout my career, I have witnessed the profound impact that compassionate, client-centered therapy can have on people’s lives. My work has allowed me to support individuals through life transitions, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, and mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression.
Working with such diverse populations has deepened my understanding of the complex dynamics that shape human behavior and relationships. With children and adolescents, I often incorporate play-based or developmentally appropriate interventions to foster emotional expression and build coping skills. In family therapy, I help members improve communication, resolve conflict, and strengthen bonds. My work with couples focuses on rebuilding trust, enhancing intimacy, and promoting mutual understanding.
Over the years, I have drawn from a variety of therapeutic approaches—including CBT, family systems, and trauma-informed care—to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs. My commitment has always been to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where individuals and families feel empowered to grow and heal. It has been a deeply rewarding journey to walk alongside so many on their path to wellness.

Having lived through my own challenges, I've worked hard to transform my life. Through perseverance and dedication, I obtained a Master's of Science in Social Work from Indiana Wesleyan University.
I began my career working with individuals both adolescent and adults battling addiction for three years, before transitioning into mental health working through each licensure until becoming independently licensed.
