Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor -Supervisor (LPCC-S) in Ohio. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from The University of Akron and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Toledo. With a diverse background in hospital settings, community mental health, schools, and private practice, I’ve developed a wide range of skills to support individuals of all ages through various challenges. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults, addressing a variety of concerns, such as adjustment disorders, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, autism spectrum disorder, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship distress, life transitions, and PTSD, among others. My approach is compassionate, flexible, and client-centered, tailored to each individual’s unique needs. I focus on helping clients develop coping strategies, build resilience, and work through their specific struggles. By creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment, I empower my clients to make meaningful changes, improve their mental well-being, and achieve growth and healing in their everyday lives.
In our first session together, you can expect a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where I’ll be focused on understanding your unique experiences. We’ll start by talking about your background, any challenges you’ve been facing, and your goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand what brings you here and what you're hoping to achieve. This is your chance to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. I’ll also explain the therapy process, including confidentiality, and what our work together might look like. I believe it's important that you feel safe and informed as we begin, so I’ll encourage any questions you have about therapy or how it works. While the first session is mostly about gathering information and building rapport, it’s also a time for you to start exploring any concerns or thoughts that are on your mind. There’s no rush to get into anything you’re not ready for; we’ll take it at your pace. Above all, my goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported. We’ll work together to set the foundation for meaningful progress, and I’ll tailor our sessions to meet your individual needs.
As a mental health therapist, my greatest strengths are my empathy, active listening, and non-judgmental approach. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves openly. I’m deeply committed to understanding each individual’s unique experiences and challenges, which allows me to tailor therapeutic techniques to best fit their needs. My ability to remain calm and present during difficult conversations helps clients feel heard and understood, fostering trust and connection. Additionally, I continuously seek professional growth to ensure I’m using the most effective and evidence-based approaches to support my clients.
As a therapist working with individuals between the ages of 13 and 40, I am best positioned to serve clients who are navigating the significant transitions and challenges that come with this stage of life. This may include teenagers and young adults struggling with identity formation, self-esteem, academic pressures, or family dynamics. It also includes individuals in their twenties and thirties dealing with career choices, relationship issues, anxiety, or stress related to life changes. I work well with clients who are open to exploring their emotions and developing coping strategies to manage mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. I’m particularly suited to supporting individuals who are looking for guidance in building emotional resilience, managing life transitions (like entering adulthood, starting a career, or dealing with relationship shifts), and enhancing their overall mental well-being. Additionally, I’m equipped to work with individuals experiencing the unique pressures of balancing personal growth, independence, and social expectations. Whether it's navigating the complexities of social media, dealing with relationship issues, or coping with feelings of isolation, I aim to provide a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings, gain insight, and work toward their goals. I also value collaborating with clients who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives, whether that’s through learning new skills, gaining self-awareness, or finding healthier ways to cope with challenges. My approach is flexible and tailored to the needs of each person, allowing me to meet clients where they are and support them in their unique journey.
