Hello, I am an independently licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Ohio with the ability to provide supervision (MSSA, LISW-S).
I specialize in working with clients experiencing Depression, Anxiety and Trauma.
First session
During the initial session, we will begin with introductions. Then I will want to learn what your primary concerns are and how you have tried to resolve them. Together we will establish goals that you feel are important and that you want to achieve. This will help me to design a plan that will meet your needs.
Strengths
Having been in this field for a long time has given me great insight and excellent listening skills. I have helped many people overcome mental health issues so they could lead productive lives.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with adults who recognize that they need help and are not afraid to ask for it. I have also worked with youth who were abused and or neglected. Many were in the foster care system. I have also worked with women with SUD and mental health issues combined. I have also worked with seniors, individuals over 65 who were experiencing life changes such as medical issues, the death of a loved one and chronic pain.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT will be used to help clients become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so they can begin to see challenging situations more clearly and respond to them more effectively.
Christian Counseling
Christian Counseling will be used to assess and treat mental health problems using Faith-based and psychological principles to help individuals cope and resolve challenging life issues.
