Hi! I'm Raven Thomas and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor supervisor. I am proud of you for taking this step in your healing journey. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. I have experience in treating a variety of diagnoses including anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, PTSD, and other stressor-related disorders I am passionate about helping individuals find their voice, increase their self-confidence and motivation to grow and reach their desired goals. I love to walk alongside my clients and assist them with managing difficult situations and emotions. I strive to create a safe, comfortable and welcoming space where you can be your authentic self. My approach is empathetic, supportive and individualized to you and your unique needs. I also take a very compassionate and direct approach to therapy, ensuring that you are getting what you need from me as well as to provide accountability to your growth and progress when it’s needed. In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The goal of our first session together will be to build rapport and discuss any challenges that you may be facing so that we may begin to create a individualized treatment plan. We will also discuss the expectations of therapy as well as answering and addressing any other questions or concerns that you may have.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I love using CBT because it can help a client identify, challenge, and change unhelpful thinking and behavioral patterns. Our thoughts, feelings and behaviors are all connected and CBT can assist clients with creating a healthier and balanced way of being.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy aims to help clients develop a greater awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. During our sessions, we will work on staying grounded in the present moment without judgment while we focus on your emotions and thoughts.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I like to utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy because it assists clients by helping them identify deeper emotions hidden beneath surface ones like anger, fear and/or sadness. During our time together, I will walk alongside you while we discover and express the underlying emotions to begin to establish healthier relationships and emotional expression.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a great tool to help clients feel empowered and become ready to take that next step in their journey. We will work together to embrace ambivalence and increase your self-confidence. During our sessions, I will create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express your wants and needs for change and we can collaborate on how to best reach your goals.
