# Welcome to The Unraveling Room.
For more than 25 years, I have worked in community mental health, crisis intervention, and hospital-based psychiatric practice.
I've learned something along the way:
**People are complicated.**
I'm comfortable there.
Maybe your story includes trauma, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, chronic pain, complex medical conditions, or functional seizures (PNES). Maybe you've collected diagnoses, medications, specialists, and years of therapy—and still feel that no one quite understands the whole story.
**You are not a diagnosis.**
And you are not a problem waiting for the right therapeutic technique.
You are a story.
I don't fear your anger. Your intensity. Your contradictions. Your messy history. Or the part of your story you've been afraid to say out loud.
**Bring it.**
I am an active therapist. I listen deeply, but I also ask questions. I notice patterns. I make connections. I challenge when I believe it matters.
We may laugh.
We may work on practical skills.
And sometimes we will sit together with something neither of us can fix.
Medication can be an important tool. Medical care matters. When appropriate, I will collaborate with your psychiatric or medical providers.
But **the relationship matters.**
Twenty-five years of experience cannot replace what happens between two people in a therapy room.
And I am not the therapist for everyone.
If you want someone to mostly listen, I may not be your therapist.
But if you want someone willing to enter the labyrinth with you—to ask difficult questions, follow unexpected turns, and stay when things get uncomfortable—we might fit.
Our lives are patterns woven from countless threads.
Some we chose.
Some were handed to us.
Some held us together.
Some became knots.
**We don't unravel you.**
We unravel the pattern.
**Bring your story. Bring the threads.**
Let's see where they lead.

I will partner with you in a safe, accepting, and non-judgmental setting that promotes growth and change. Happiness is something we all talk about and want dearly. I have been in the mental health field for over 8 years working as a caser manager for kids 6 to 17, working at a rehab facility, working as a substance abuse counselor in a prison and running my private practice. I offer EMDR, Trauma Informed CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, and Mindfulness based approaches. Are you riding the hot mess express? When is the last time you had a good cry and not because you are angry? Do you feel like a robot and/or don't know what you want and need? Do you know exactly why you do what you do and still can't make any changes? Have you got in trouble because you used unhealthy coping skills and wants to learn how to do different? I have helped people from many different backgrounds and lived experiences get to a point where there they can live the life they want and not the one their past has created for them. I only have two rules for my clients: "you aren't allowed to say sorry because you didn't do anything wrong" and "you are allowed to tell me no". I use whatever method my client needs to help either process the past or learn new skills in the present. Not all therapy requires you to process the past.
I am a blessed mom of 2 boys, with a loving spouse that supports me, and a world where I get to work with people that want support in their lives. Even with the life I live, there are many challenges that we have to navigate. I have 2 years of experience providing mental health services to the youth of today and because of my personal experinces, I have been able to connect with them and help them grow. All I can ask from my clients is to give me a chance to work with you as you navigate life challenges to find a life that's blessed.
Therapy is something that has a flow. I may have an idea in mind for what to talk about, but your daily input is more important. Together we will flow through your emotions while facing opportunities to challenge the way you think and guide you to new possibilities; while managing heightened emotions. I use techniques from art therapy, narrative therapy, strength based and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) as a way to have all the tools in my toolbox that we may need.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) in Ohio who has been providing therapy for over 7 years with a bachelor and master of social work. I provide individual therapy for adults and have experience working with people from many different backgrounds. Before practicing individual therapy, I worked in a substance use treatment center assisting with a group therapy program. I'm grateful to offer a space to reflect, grow and learn ways to manage difficulties. Finding the time and courage to help yourself isn't always easy... the fact that you are looking for a therapist today means you've already taken a step towards better mental health.
I’m a Veteran turned Therapist.
I believe that the client needs to express the issues and trauma that they have along with being given coping skills and tools to deal with the symptoms associated with their issues.
I believe in being proactive. I don’t want the client to think that I’m just there listening and nodding my head. I want them to know that this is a collaborative process and I’m in it with them to help them become with self and overcome any obstacles in their way.
Are you seeking more than just a listening ear? Do you want a therapist who offers understanding and practical strategies to help you navigate life’s challenges?
You’re in the right place.
I’m Dr. Marston, a psychologist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in cognitive-behavior therapy—the gold standard for evidence-based treatment. I’m also a professor and author, passionate about blending cutting-edge research with compassionate care to make therapy as effective as possible.
What sets my approach apart? I believe great therapy combines a deep understanding of psychology, clinical expertise, and genuine encouragement. A former client once said, “Dr. Marston is a great psychologist. He can be tough sometimes, but that’s exactly what I needed.” That balance of challenge and support is at the heart of what I offer.
Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, or simply want to build a better life, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to create real change.
I look forward to meeting you!
Hello, I'm Sherri.
Asking for help is never easy.
Maybe you don’t know if you can ask for help because how can you reach out to someone who might balk when you tell them you’re questioning your faith or just on a nontraditional spiritual path?
What if your job is not a “typical” job and your baseline stress levels could curl toes, forget anyone understanding when you are at your breaking point?
This is where I come in.
I’ve been passionate about helping people find peace amid stress and chaos for years. Whether you’re navigating the weight of trauma, the daily demands of service, or simply feeling disconnected from your inner light, my role is to walk alongside you with compassion and care. My promise is a safe space for letting your walls and burdens down. I provide ethical, nonjudgmental, approachable, quality mental health treatment without fear of discrimination or overwhelming the therapist with your reality.
Hi, I’m Brittany, an LISW in Ohio, wife, and mom of three with a heart for supporting women through the many seasons and transitions of life. I’m especially passionate about women’s and maternal mental health and creating a space where women feel seen, heard, and genuinely supported.
I’m the founder of Selah Maternal Wellness, a virtual private practice where I work with women navigating anxiety, stress, overwhelm, life transitions, relationships, identity, pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, and the everyday challenges that come with carrying so many roles.
While maternal mental health holds a special place in my heart, my work is not limited to motherhood. I welcome women in all stages of life who are looking for a space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and focused on meeting you where you are. I also offer Christian counseling and faith-based therapy for women who would like to incorporate their faith into their healing journey, while always honoring each client’s individual beliefs and preferences.
The name Selah reflects much of what I hope to offer through this work—a moment to pause, reflect, breathe, and reconnect. As women, we can spend so much time caring for everyone and everything around us that we forget we need care, too!
Beyond individual therapy, I offer local workshops and group sessions to help women and moms connect, learn, and build supportive community. I’m also currently working toward my PMH-C certification to deepen my ability to support women throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
Whether through individual therapy, faith-based support, workshops, or groups, my hope is for Selah to be a place where women can pause, feel supported, reconnect with who they are, and know they don’t have to navigate life alone.

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in Ohio and have been in the field since 2013. I graduated from Miami University in 2013 with my bachelor's degree in psychology and worked as a case manager for a year, assisting adults with managing mental health symptoms. I also helped with medication management, and assisted with supporting them in daily living skills, before getting my master's degree in social work in 2016. Once I graduated with my Master's, I then worked at a community based correctional facility for 3 years as a mental health and addiction specialist. I completed diagnostic assessments and facilitated individual and group therapy sessions for mental health and addiction. From there, I began working at an inpatient behavioral health hospital and assisted patients there with acute mental health needs and helped to provide referrals for outpatient treatment. Since 2020, I have been working with clients doing individual therapy and have been growing my private practice. I find it rewarding to be able to work with clients long-term and get to know them as a person while meeting each individual where they are; what their struggles are, what their successes are, see progress they make in different areas of their lives, and develop a rapport that is respectful and supportive. I have been able to gain a great deal of experience over my 13 years with a very diverse background through promotion and advancement, in the mental health field, and those experiences help me to navigate my therapeutic approach to assist with being able to better serve clients while we are working together.
I am an LCSW and LISW licensed in multiple states the the midwest and the south. I see all of my clients on line for now. I love to provide a safe and comfortable environment for people to share their problems and issues with me. I believe in meeting people where they are, regardless of race, gender, or social/economic status. I work mostly with young adults struggling with life challenges such as relationship issues, job stress, self esteem, and substance abuse issues. I also have a specialty in working with people with Borderline Personality Disorders, and helping others who may have a parent or loved on with BPD. I believe in being honest, protecting my client's privacy, and following therapeutic approaches based on evidence based practice.
PLEASE DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR OWN APPOINTMENTS. I HAVE TWO SCHEDULES THAT DON'T SHOW. IT CAUSES DOUBLE BOOKING AND I MAY HAVE TO MOVE WHAT YOU SCHEDULE TO A DIFFERENT DAY AND TIME. MESSAGE ME FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND WE WILL SCHEDULE.
In life I have experienced many things that led me to start a private practice to help others gain their personal power back. I know how the struggle affects a person and with the skills that I have acquired over thirty years of work I know how to help someone be successful. There is no subject or experience that I won't or haven't broached. If I don't know how to do it, I will find out how to make you successful. I prefer that you contact me directly to schedule as I have 2 schedules that don't sync. PLEASE contact me first. It is possible if you schedule an appointment I would have to change it if I was already booked. Please call me directly and we will schedule so I don't have to reschedule the appointment that you schedule with me. I appreciate your patience and cooperation in the matter.

Hi, my name is Joey Caggiano. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida. I have been working in mental health for over 9years; before that, I spent several years working in crime scene investigations and other positions in law enforcement. My mission and passion is to help others reach their full potential. I am not a traditional therapist. I am in a wheelchair. I often use humor in my therapy sessions as I believe creating a safe space and comfortable environment for all is most important. I think that you are the expert in your treatment. You get to decide what we focus on. I am here to be your spirit or travel guide through your life journey. We live in stressful times, and sometimes, our minds can be our worst enemy. Whether you're struggling with self-doubt, negative thoughts, thoughts of self-harm, or maybe even suicidal thoughts, I can help! Let's work together to build coping skills to face life's challenges. As a therapist with a disability, I have unique insight into those who think differently and make therapy enjoyable.

These include substance abuse and dependency, Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, anxiety, depression, and trauma as well as major life events that happen to us all. I works with people from all walks of life including children, couples, and adults. Person centered counseling is not a platform on which one seeks advice or fears being judged, as if “under the microscope”. Rather it is a collaborative conversation based on unconditional positive regard, in which counselor and client journey together towards the client’s realization of meaning and goals.
Many of the young people I work with come to me feeling overwhelmed, unsure of themselves, or stuck between who they are and who they want to be. If you’re dealing with anxiety, self‑esteem, life transition stress, or the pressure of figuring out life on your own terms, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to sort it out by yourself.
I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker‑Supervisor based in Ohio with 30+ years of experience supporting adolescents and young adults. No judgment here; people are endlessly interesting, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know who you are and what matters to you.

Hi. My name is Amanda Jo! I'm honored you've taken the opportunity to read a little bit about me in order to determine if we might be a good fit to walk a part of life's journey together! I have over ten years of experience working in the field of mental health. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Saint Leo University and obtained my Masters in Social Work from Indiana University. I served in the United States Army and am acutely aware of the mental health and family issues specifically related to deployments as well as pre and post service. I have experience and knowledge related to birth-mothers and adoption. Furthermore, I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, middle aged and 'antiqued' populations who are struggling to manage stress, anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, relationship conflict and/or unresolved trauma.
Life is a beautiful, complex journey that requires community to navigate. I'd be honored to be a part of your circle!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience supporting individuals
through life’s challenges with compassion, respect, and practical guidance. I work with adults
facing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and the emotional
impact of trauma. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, creating a safe,
nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported.
I believe therapy should be both meaningful and useful—helping you better understand yourself
while building skills you can apply in everyday life. I draw from evidence-based practices and
tailor treatment to each person’s unique needs, values, and goals. Whether you are seeking
clarity, healing, or tools to move forward, I partner with you to support lasting growth and
emotional well-being.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and you don’t have to do it alone. I
would be honored to work with you on your journey toward greater balance, insight, and
resilience.
