Brittany Krenzke
In my practice, I aim to meet clients where they are at, fostering a safe space for healing and growth. My approach integrates Compassionate Inquiry, Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and other trauma-informed and somatic-based techniques to support healing and empowerment. My practice is a safe space where clients explore their identities, process trauma, and cultivate resilience. I'm passionate about helping individuals embrace their authentic selves and navigate life's challenges with strength and self-compassion. As an LGBTQ+ affirming and Health at Every Size aligned therapist, I create a safe and inclusive space for all individuals. In recognizing the impact that our experiences have on the relationship between mind and body, I utilize trauma-informed and somatic-based techniques to promote greater connection to Self and facilitate healing on a holistic level.
Strengths
By nurturing an environment of empathy and non-judgment, I support individuals in exploring their inner worlds, processing emotions, and integrating new insights into their lives. Together, we work towards building a foundation of strength and self-understanding, enabling clients to navigate life's challenges with newfound clarity and confidence.
Ideal clients
Many of the folks that I work with have spent a long time surviving, adapting, or trying to be what others needed them to be, and are beginning to wonder what it might look like to live more authentically. They may be carrying trauma, shame, grief, overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection from themselves. I especially value working with people who want a space where they can slow down, explore their experiences with compassion, and begin to understand themselves beyond the roles, expectations, or adaptations they have carried for so long.
Treatment methods
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
We use IFS to explore different “parts” of you with curiosity and compassion, helping you understand the roles they have taken on and what they may be trying to protect.
Compassion-Focused
This approach helps us gently explore self-criticism, shame, and difficult emotions while building a more compassionate and supportive relationship with yourself.
Somatic
We pay attention to how emotions and experiences show up in the body, using present-moment awareness to better understand and regulate your nervous system.
EMDR
EMDR can help you process distressing experiences and memories so they feel less overwhelming and have less influence on how you see yourself and respond in the present.
Gender-affirming therapy
Gender-affirming therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore identity, expression, relationships, dysphoria, and other experiences without treating gender diversity as something that needs to be changed.
