Hello! I'm Stephanie Burbridge, and I'm so glad you're here. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health who specializes in supporting adults through anxiety, pregnancy/postpartum mental health concerns, depression, and major life transitions, such as retirement. With a compassionate and collaborative approach, I strive to create a safe space where you feel truly heard and supported. My goal is to help you gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful changes that lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is about getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, background, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I’ll ask questions to help clarify your goals and offer space for you to share at your own pace. There’s no pressure to have all the answers right away—this is a time to begin building trust and finding comfort in the therapeutic relationship. By the end of the session, we’ll have a clearer picture of what you want to focus on and how I can support you moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen and heard in our work together. I provide a calm, affirming space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. My strengths lie in helping clients identify and reframe unhelpful thinking patterns, gain insight into their behaviors, and develop practical strategies to manage symptoms and create change. I draw from evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches, while tailoring sessions to fit your individual needs and goals. I’m deeply committed to your progress, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you in your journey toward greater clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are adults navigating significant life transitions or emotional challenges, including pregnancy and postpartum mental health concerns, anxiety, and depression. I am also well-suited to support individuals going through major transitions such as retirement, graduation, or significant moves, which can often bring uncertainty, stress, or a sense of loss of identity. I work best with clients who may feel overwhelmed or stuck but are open to self-reflection and identifying areas for growth. These individuals are typically motivated to better understand themselves, develop healthier coping strategies, and make meaningful changes. I strive to create an empathetic, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.

Stephanie was very personable making it very easy to talk to her. Her previous work experience gives her the ability to see and understand mental illnesses on a much larger scale making clients or at least myself more comfortable sharing their experiences and struggles.
