New to Grow
Welcome! I’m Amanda, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor dedicated to walking alongside individuals on their healing journey. I take an integrative, holistic approach to therapy, emphasizing collaboration and authenticity in building a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. With a Bachelor’s in Communication and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton, I’ve worked with children, adolescents, and adults in both youth day treatment and outpatient settings. My experience includes helping clients navigate trauma, mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, life transitions, peer and family conflicts. I’m especially passionate about supporting those processing religious, racial, and sexual trauma, and I strive to create inclusive, affirming spaces for clients from the Neurodiverse, Black, and LGBTQIA+ communities. I incorporate creative psychoeducation to engage clients meaningfully and empower them toward growth and healing. Thank you for being here. I look forward to the opportunity to support you. Peace be with you.
In our first session together we will establish rapport, focus on your needs and how I can best support you in your healing journey. Don’t worry if we don’t get everything in the first session, I will continue to clarify and gather background information in the next session to support creating an aligned treatment plan for you.
Clients respond to my natural ability to provide a warm inviting space, allowing them to bring their full authentic selves. Clients often report they feel so comfortable, that time moves quickly and are shocked that the session hour has ended. I use an integrative holistic approach to therapy, because each person is unique and their journey to healing is their own.
My ideal client is someone whom is ready to meet themselves fully. That despite the discomfort that comes with the healing process, they are ready to sit with those difficult feelings in a supportive safe environment and allow me to journey with them through the discomfort and into a wholly, grounded, centered self.
Integrative therapy is a personalized, holistic approach to treatment that combines techniques from various therapeutic schools to meet the client's unique needs. I use evidence-based approaches with a trauma-informed lens such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Somatic focused and many more to create a flexible, all-encompassing plan that addresses the client's mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
