Lauren Greene
I believe therapy should be a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as you navigate life’s challenges. With 19 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a caring, compassionate, and honest approach to therapy. My goal is to build a genuine connection with each client and create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding yourself, recognizing your strengths, and learning new ways to manage the challenges that life brings. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and regain a sense of control over their lives. I believe CBT can be a powerful turning point in creating lasting change. My approach is to meet you where you are, while also encouraging and challenging you to step outside your comfort zone, explore new perspectives, and continue growing. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to balance empathy and support with honesty and accountability. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, navigating a life transition, or simply looking to better understand yourself, I am here to walk alongside you. You do not have to have everything figured out to begin. Together, we can work toward building confidence, resilience, and a greater sense of balance and fulfillment in your life.
First session
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, and I want clients to feel welcomed, heard, and comfortable from the very beginning. Our first session is an opportunity to build rapport, establish a trusting therapeutic relationship, and determine that we are a good fit to work together. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and we will work as a team to explore your concerns, identify your goals, and discuss what you hope to gain from the experience. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling supported, understood, and hopeful about the journey ahead, knowing that you have a safe space to be yourself and someone in your corner.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is balancing compassion and support with honesty and gentle challenge. I strive to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to be themselves, while also encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones and recognize their potential for growth. I believe meaningful change often comes from being willing to explore uncomfortable truths and consider new perspectives. I bring a genuine, down-to-earth personality to my sessions and believe humor can be a powerful tool in the therapeutic process. Sometimes, being able to laugh along the way makes the difficult work feel a little more manageable. My goal is to help clients feel understood and supported while empowering them to make meaningful changes in their lives.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is anyone navigating the challenges, transitions, and uncertainties that life can bring. I enjoy working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. Whether facing a major life transition, struggling with relationships, managing stress, or simply seeking personal growth, I believe everyone deserves a safe and supportive space to feel heard and understood. I strive to be a compassionate, approachable, and nonjudgmental presence, helping clients navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and discover their own strengths. My goal is to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them as they work toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.
Ongoing work together
Our ongoing sessions will be a collaborative and flexible process guided by your needs, goals, and experiences. We will revisit skills and strategies discussed in previous sessions, exploring what has been helpful and what may need to be adjusted. While some sessions may build upon previous conversations and focus on continued growth, others may center on new challenges or current stressors. I believe you should have an active voice in your therapeutic journey, and we will work together to determine what feels most important in each session. Life can be unpredictable, and my approach is to meet you where you are, adapt as needed, and provide a supportive space to navigate whatever life brings your way.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients better understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we explore unhelpful patterns, challenge perspectives that may be holding them back, and develop practical skills to navigate life’s challenges. I believe growth comes from both feeling supported and being willing to look at things differently. I strive to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental space where clients can be open, ask questions, and even incorporate humor along the way. My goal is to help clients gain insight, build confidence, and develop tools they can use in their everyday lives, long after our sessions end.
