Hi, I’m Ayesha—a licensed professional counselor based in Dallas, Texas. I offer virtual therapy across the state, supporting adult individuals through life’s challenges. If you're feeling overwhelmed by low moods, intrusive thoughts, or body image distress, you’re not alone. These experiences can often lead to anxiety, depression, stress, and emotional fatigue. Many people suffer in silence, avoiding the deeper work around thought patterns—yet unaddressed, these patterns can fuel emotions like guilt, shame, and unworthiness, reinforcing a cycle that feels hard to break. Therapy is a space to gain clarity, challenge those beliefs, and begin your healing journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I take the time to get to know you and understand the issues you’re facing. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful progress. My approach is collaborative, direct, and compassionate—creating a space where you feel supported yet empowered to challenge yourself. I meet you where you are and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals and guides your path forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I view my clients as whole individuals, which means understanding your background and personal story is essential to providing effective care. I also encourage you to take the lead in sessions, fostering a sense of autonomy and ownership in your healing process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with adults and older adults facing a range of challenges, including depression, eating disorders, trauma, and PTSD. As a clinician, I provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences and navigate life’s difficulties with compassion and clarity.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) by helping clients learn to accept their emotions while exploring their values and examining how their behaviors and decisions align with those values.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) by offering psychoeducation on how thoughts influence emotions and behaviors. In sessions, I guide clients through practical exercises like thought tracking, cognitive reframing, and challenging unhelpful beliefs, while helping them identify and shift unhealthy thought patterns.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is an evidence-based intervention for PTSD. When appropriate, I integrate CPT into treatment and provide thorough psychoeducation beforehand to ensure clients feel informed and prepared for the process.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build key skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. These tools support clients in managing intense emotions and navigating relationships more effectively.
