I am a US Air Force veteran Clinical Social Worker. I served from 2015 to 2024 before voluntarily separating. During my USAF time I treated active duty members, their dependents, and veterans. I worked primarily in outpatient care providing 1 on 1 in person therapy, however would frequently be called to conduct emergency assessments for high risk cases involving suicide, homicide, domestic violence, and/or child abuse. I also spent several years leading a team in conducting substance abuse treatment as well as prevention programs. Through these experiences I have treated a wide range of mental health issues to include general stress/adjustment disorder to depression/anxiety/PTSD/grief.

I’m Michael Woods Jr., a licensed professional clinical counselor with over 15 years of experience. I help people who are dealing with stress, pressure, and feeling stuck—even when things on the outside look like they should be working. My approach is real and straightforward. I’m not just here to listen—I’m here to help you understand what’s actually going on and give you practical tools you can use in your everyday life. I focus a lot on how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, and how to start responding differently instead of reacting on autopilot. A big part of my work is helping people build awareness, take ownership, and develop the mental skills needed to handle challenges more effectively. I also bring in my background in athletics and performance, so there’s an emphasis on consistency, discipline, and doing the work—not just talking about it.

Hi, I’m Sema—and I get it. I know that when you’re going through a difficult time, it can feel like no one truly hears you. Sometimes, even well-meaning people try to “fix” things without fully understanding what you're going through. That’s why I aim to offer something different: a safe, judgment-free space where you feel genuinely heard. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, connection, and collaboration. I believe in working alongside my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, identify the core of their challenges, and build practical tools to manage and move through them. Together, we don’t just talk about the problem—we work toward healing, growth, and long-term resilience. I earned my LMSW from Wayne State University in 2016 and have since supported individuals navigating a wide range of challenges including mental health concerns, grief and loss, substance use, complex family dynamics, and the emotional toll of physical health issues. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrative therapeutic techniques that help clients reframe negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and move toward becoming the best version of themselves. You don't have to do this alone. I'm here to support you, listen to you and walk with you through whatever you're facing.

I joined the Mandel School of Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in 1993, after living the University of Iowa. I retired May 2026 as the Grace F. Brody Professor of Parent-Child Studies at the Mandel School (Social Work), Case Western Reserve University. I have been an educator since 1987 and have practiced with families, mostly office based starting in 1988, then home based, and with the new technologies I have been working virtually. I am a licensed social worker in Ohio. I was previously licensed in Iowa. I have worked in residential treatment for children and outpatient mental health for adolescents and adults. I have owned and operated Adoption Partners LLC over 20 years, working with families who are thinking about adoption to post adoption support and case management. I participate in searching records to help adopted people or siblings of adopted people to make connections/gather family history. Wherever you are in your adoption journey, I am here to help. My experience has been helpful to blended families who are struggling. There are often parallels to the adoptive parents and step-parent experience. If you are interested in any of my books, you can find them through the public library and amazon. If you are interested in my articles, they may have restricted access because they are own by the journal in which they are published. You can look at scholar.google.com; if there is one or a few of interest, I have a copy I can email you. Since 1991, I have been involved in various child welfare technical assistance, research and training projects in the US (Oklahoma, Iowa, Ohio, Maryland), Romania, India, Ukraine, Guatemala and Ethiopia. In addition to my Master's of Social Work, I have a Doctorate in Sociology and Honorary Doctorate from Romania.

Hey there! :) I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory distinction (LISW-S) based in central Ohio. I earned my MSW from The Ohio State University and have spent the past decade doing what I love most—helping people heal, grow, and thrive. My journey began as a trauma specialist working with children in Treatment Foster Care and adoption in inner-city Columbus. At the same time, I supported children, young adults, and families in Worthington, Ohio, helping them find balance and connection in their daily lives. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for supporting parents—especially those navigating the emotional waves of infertility, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and the beautifully complex world of parenting. These experiences sparked a deep commitment to working with women to identify their strengths, overcome barriers, and step fully into their potential. I find so much joy in connecting with people from all walks of life, and I've had the privilege of working in urban, suburban, and rural communities. My current practice—and my roots—are in the beautiful Appalachian foothills of Ohio. Outside of the therapy room, I’m a proud animal lover, plant enthusiast, and people-person through and through. I believe in the power of humor, honesty, and human connection—and I’m here to walk alongside you, wherever you are in your journey.

Being a therapist isn't just my career—it's a dream I worked hard to achieve because I know what it's like to walk through difficult seasons and wonder if things will ever feel different. My experiences taught me that healing is possible, and they shaped the kind of therapist I strive to be: the therapist I wish I had when I needed one most. I believe every person has inherent worth, even when life has convinced them otherwise. Your past may explain where you've been, but it doesn't have to define where you're going. Healing and forgiveness can coexist, and growth is possible without pretending the pain never happened. My role isn't to tell you who you should be—it's to help you rediscover who you are beneath the anxiety, trauma, self-doubt, or life circumstances that have made you question yourself. I'll meet you with honesty, compassion, and a little humor along the way because I believe therapy should feel like a safe place to be fully human. I believe the only way to truly fail at becoming the person you were meant to be is to stop trying. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning after a difficult experience, my hope is that you leave each session feeling seen, supported, and more hopeful than when you walked in. I'm Sarah, a Licensed Independent Social Worker with specialized training in EMDR, perinatal mental health, Gottman couples therapy, infant mental health, and early childhood mental health. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, empowered, and hopeful—a place where you feel like you. Outside of the office, I'm a busy mother of two and fantasy author who loves baking and cooking!

Hi, I’m Jacalyn Yurick, LISW-S. I’m a licensed therapist with over 10 years of experience helping adolescents and adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, grief, substance use, and major life transitions. I specialize in working with individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, or exhausted from carrying the weight of everything on their own. Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning on the outside while silently struggling internally with anxiety, unresolved trauma, burnout, people-pleasing, self-doubt, or emotional exhaustion. Others come to therapy after years of feeling misunderstood, emotionally disconnected, or unable to fully move forward despite trying everything they can to “just cope.” My goal is to help clients move beyond simply surviving and begin feeling more grounded, confident, connected, and emotionally at peace. I am EMDR-trained and have extensive experience treating complex trauma and PTSD. In addition to trauma work, I frequently help clients struggling with panic attacks, chronic stress, mood disorders, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation, grief and loss, and substance use concerns. I utilize evidence-based approaches including EMDR, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, and strengths-based treatment tailored to each client’s individual needs. My background includes work in inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential substance use treatment, outpatient mental health, school-based therapy, couples counseling, and telehealth. Working across these settings has given me experience supporting clients through both crisis situations and long-term personal growth. Clients often describe me as down-to-earth, supportive, direct, and easy to talk to. Therapy does not require you to have everything figured out before you begin. You only need a starting point, and together we can work toward meaningful and lasting change.

I am a licensed clinician with 14 years of experience in substance use treatment and 4 years in mental health counseling, dedicated to supporting individuals through trauma, addiction, and emotional challenges. I provide a Person-Centered, holistic approach that integrates CBT, DBT skills, Trauma-Informed care, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused techniques to help clients create meaningful and lasting change. I serve individuals ages 13 and older who are experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma-related concerns, relational challenges, and low self-worth, as well as those feeling stuck in patterns of shame, self-doubt, or unhealthy coping. My work is best suited for clients who are ready to explore healing, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of identity and purpose. Through a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space, I help clients separate who they are from what they have been through, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with my Master's in Social Work in 2012. I am currently independently licensed in Ohio and North Carolina. I have had a range of experience from providing crisis and solution focused treatment in a jail setting, providing holistic and solution focused treatment in a medical clinic, and providing care to adolescents in the school setting. Each setting has helped me grow as a provider and a person. One commonality from each experience is that we are all human and we all need support throughout our lives, and there is no shame in this. I am here to provide you with a safe space where you can speak openly and honestly. I want you to feel supported, seen and heard as you share personal details of your life. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker based in Ohio and have been in the field since 2013. I graduated from Miami University in 2013 with my bachelor's degree in psychology and worked as a case manager for a year, assisting adults with managing mental health symptoms. I also helped with medication management, and assisted with supporting them in daily living skills, before getting my master's degree in social work in 2016. Once I graduated with my Master's, I then worked at a community based correctional facility for 3 years as a mental health and addiction specialist. I completed diagnostic assessments and facilitated individual and group therapy sessions for mental health and addiction. From there, I began working at an inpatient behavioral health hospital and assisted patients there with acute mental health needs and helped to provide referrals for outpatient treatment. Since 2020, I have been working with clients doing individual therapy and have been growing my private practice. I find it rewarding to be able to work with clients long-term and get to know them as a person while meeting each individual where they are; what their struggles are, what their successes are, see progress they make in different areas of their lives, and develop a rapport that is respectful and supportive. I have been able to gain a great deal of experience over my 13 years with a very diverse background through promotion and advancement, in the mental health field, and those experiences help me to navigate my therapeutic approach to assist with being able to better serve clients while we are working together.
