My name is Dr. Sharon Green, and I have worked in behavioral health for over 15 years. I have worked with diverse populations in multiple settings and served children, adolescents, young adults and older adults. Therapeutic services are delivered professionally and based on ethical principles. Services are tailored to the individual with implementation of multiple treatment modalities that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitizing Reprocessing (EMDR), supportive therapy, narrative therapy, solution-based therapy, and grief therapy. I am a clinical social worker and received my Master's from Monmouth University. I have worked the past few years in private practice with individuals, families, and couples. I primarily help individuals learn better ways to communicate, engage in healthy views of themselves, and manage the stressors that may arise, incorporating self-care when needed. I believe the true therapy process happens when not in session when the tools learned are explored, then the change is able to occur. I believe individuals are all able to commit to themself and therapy is the first step.
As a client of mine, you should expect a learning and judgment free space. A space where you will be understandably hesitant yet free and understood. I've dedicated my career to becoming a better therapist for my clients by learning about other cultures and aspects of life that contribute to our mental health.
In our work together, I aim to provide the best approaches to reach your goals and ultimately leave feeling complete and refreshed. With my years of experience, I have helped many clients and couples understand themselves in different ways than they started and make positive changes that they hoped for. Understanding how difficult it is to be open and vulnerable, it is especially important for me to be patient and increase my abilities with engagement. I strive for understanding, respect and authenticity in all sessions and with all clients.

I work with a wide range of people, students figuring out who they are, professionals managing pressure and burnout, parents balancing everything at once, and athletes navigating performance and identity, because the core work of understanding yourself and building healthier patterns looks similar no matter what world you come from. Whatever brought you here, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen quickly and leave with tools you can actually use.

We learn to change our perspective on life, our past, our entire reality, and recognize that we really can control how we think and what we think about.
One of the primary purposes of coming to therapy is to be heard. I am here to listen and work with you to come up with a solution to the problem or issues you may be having.

We work together to find what practical exercises you can use to better manage out of control emotions when they arise.
