Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, my focus will be on getting to know you and understanding your unique story. I will guide you through an assessment, asking thoughtful questions about your experiences, challenges, and goals. This conversation is not about judgment, but about truly listening to you so I can better understand where you’ve been, what you’re facing, and what you hope to achieve. Together, we will begin to explore how I can best support you on your journey toward healing and growth. I am deeply grateful for the trust you place in me by sharing your story, and I will work to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel comfortable and supported from the very beginning.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the blend of compassion, cultural sensitivity, and clinical expertise I bring to each session, shaped by my diverse background and experience in a variety of settings. I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life, from those coping with the everyday stresses of life to individuals facing profound trauma, including survivors of mass shootings. These experiences have deepened my understanding that no matter how heavy the burden feels, there is always hope, and the fact that you are considering seeking help is one of the strongest signs of hope there is. My approach is rooted in truly listening, meeting you where you are, and working together to uncover your inner strength. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you on your journey and to help you see that healing and growth are always possible.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals who are seeking a safe and supportive space to work through life’s challenges and move toward greater emotional well-being. I work well with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, life transitions, or relationship challenges, as well as those navigating cultural adjustments or seeking personal growth. Many of my clients are motivated to better understand themselves, improve their coping skills, and create lasting positive changes in their lives. Whether you are looking to heal from past experiences, manage current struggles, or simply gain clarity and balance, I will meet you with compassion, understanding, and practical tools to support your goals. Together, we will work toward building the resilience, confidence, and peace you deserve.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my clinical practice, I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as an effective treatment approach to address a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns. CBT is grounded in the understanding that our thoughts significantly influence our feelings and behaviors. I use this framework to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or distorted thinking patterns, explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and actions, and develop healthier, more adaptive ways of thinking. This method has proven to be highly effective with my clients, empowering them to gain insight, reduce distress, and implement meaningful behavioral changes that support their overall well-being.

Mind-body approach

In my practice, I also integrate a mind-body approach, which is rooted in the belief that the mind and body are deeply interconnected and influence one another in profound ways. This perspective recognizes that emotional distress can manifest physically, just as physical tension or discomfort can impact mental and emotional well-being. I guide clients in increasing their awareness of this connection through techniques such as mindfulness, relaxation exercises, breathwork, and body awareness practices. By helping clients tune into both their mental and physical experiences, they are able to better understand how stress, emotions, and physical sensations interact, and develop strategies to restore balance. This holistic approach has been highly effective in promoting emotional resilience, reducing stress, and fostering overall wellness.
