My name is Leah and I have been a social worker for 10 years. I have worked with a variety of populations and have a lot of experience working with children and adults.
My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and solution-focused strategies. Alongside my private practice work, I have seven years of experience as a school adjustment counselor supporting elementary-aged students and their families in navigating emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.
I started my clinical journey in family therapy, working with children and adolescents and their caregivers. Individual outpatient therapy, where the client has space to explore themselves with compassionate support, drew my interest and since 2017 I have focused on providing individual therapy to adults. The perspective of a social worker continues to inform my work as I consider at the bigger picture of society, community and family and how it affects individual mental health. This becomes especially important when factors like trauma, chronic illness, or financial stress impact wellbeing.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a PhD, I bring both advanced clinical training and a deep commitment to compassionate, client-centered care. My work integrates evidence-based approaches with thoughtful insight, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions with clarity and confidence. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting change.
