Hello! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a specialized focus in trauma treatment. My goal is to help people find a greater capacity for self-healing, utilizing two primary modalities to facilitate this change. Therapy will involve examining one's experiences through a lens of curiosity, with an emphasis on building compassion for self and more adaptive ways of functioning to build a more fulfilling, enjoyable life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Intake/first session will involve hearing from you to identify goals you wish to pursue during treatment, as well as an introduction to modalities I utilize in my practice. We will examine how we can use these approaches to help you reach the desired change you seek.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I pride myself in building a safe, strong rapport with individuals, while using methods such as EMDR and IFS to help move towards real change. This can include but is not limited to reduced anxiety, increased sense of hope/optimism, and greater ability to self-regulate with positive beliefs about who you are and what you deserve as a person.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am well suited to treat trauma and trauma related diagnoses, as well as individuals struggling to build the confidence + clarity needed to advocate for their needs effectively to others. Anyone having a hard time putting themselves first, believing they matter enough to prioritize, taking the steps they may want to feel fulfilled in career/relationship pursuits, would be a good fit working with me due to a curious, non-judgmental approach provided in sessions.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am trained in and utilize EMDR regularly in my work, helping clients to reprocess painful memories, unburden negative beliefs/emotions tied to past experiences, as well as build internal secure attachment with vulnerable parts.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

No formal IFS training beyond learning in graduate school program, however this approach I often use to help clients gain awareness of why their feelings, thoughts and behaviors exist in the way they do, better understand their internal operating system to gain control over their lives and heal from past traumatic experiences.
