Hello, I’m Naomi, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m a licensed mental health clinician providing therapy for teens, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and integrative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and expressive techniques when helpful. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to your needs so that what we work on feels relevant and usable in your daily life. So our first session will focus on identifying your needs and how we can work together. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer feel helpful. They may be managing a lot on the outside while quietly struggling on the inside, trying to hold everything together without enough space to focus on themselves. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to work through it alone either. In our work together, I offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you’re experiencing. Therapy is a place where we can gently explore what’s been weighing on you while also identifying practical steps toward meaningful change.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive foundation for our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—we’ll go at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of it. This may include current challenges, symptoms you’ve been experiencing, and any goals you have for yourself, even if they feel unclear at the moment. We may also explore relevant background information, such as past experiences, supports in your life, and what has or hasn’t been helpful for you in the past. I’ll also take time to answer any questions you have about the therapy process, my approach, and what working together will look like moving forward. This session is as much about you getting a sense of me as it is about me understanding your needs. My goal in the first session is to create a space that feels steady, respectful, and collaborative—where you don’t feel rushed or pressured. Together, we’ll begin identifying what feels most important to focus on and discuss what next steps might look like if we decide to continue working together. Most importantly, the first session is about fit. Feeling comfortable with your therapist matters, and this is your opportunity to see whether this feels like the right space for you. You don’t need to prepare anything ahead of time—just come as you are.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a calm, grounded, and collaborative presence to my work, with a focus on helping you feel both supported and understood. Clients often describe my approach as warm, steady, and easy to talk to, which I see as essential for building trust and meaningful progress in therapy. One of my strengths is my ability to meet you where you are—without judgment or pressure—while also helping you gently move toward change at a pace that feels manageable. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so I prioritize creating a space where you can slow down, feel safe, and speak openly. My approach is both compassionate and practical. While I offer emotional support and space for processing, I also focus on helping you build real-world coping tools that can be used outside of sessions. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all model of therapy. Above all, I value the therapeutic relationship. I see it as the foundation of effective therapy, and I’m intentional about creating a space where you feel respected, heard, and supported as a whole person—not just a set of symptoms. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling more grounded, more empowered, and more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I often work with clients who are used to holding a lot together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed internally. You may struggle with anxious thoughts, emotional overwhelm, or the impact of past experiences and life changes. Together, we focus on understanding these patterns and building practical tools to help you feel more grounded and confident. My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, and grief-informed care to help you better understand your thoughts, process experiences, and develop healthier coping strategies that support lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together we identify patterns, build stronger coping skills, and create healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness to help clients slow down and become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical responses in the present moment. This practice can reduce stress, improve emotional regulation, and create space to respond to challenges with greater clarity and calm.

Narrative

Narrative therapy helps you explore the stories you hold about yourself and your experiences. Together, we work to understand how those stories may shape your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while creating space to rewrite narratives that support growth, resilience, and a stronger sense of self.

Grief Therapy

Grief can look different for everyone. In our work together, I provide a compassionate space to process loss at your own pace. We focus on honoring your experiences, understanding the impact of grief, and finding ways to move forward while still holding space for what matters to you.
