New to Grow
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel safe to be honest, understood without judgment and supported as you navigate life's challenges. My practice is warm, collaborative and centered around helping you better understand yourself and create meaningful change at your own pace. I strive to create a space where you can explore your thoughts and experiences openly, while feeling supported throughout the process.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin exploring what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss what you've been experiencing, what you've been experiencing, what you hope to work on and what you would like to get out of therapy. You don't need to have everything figured out or know exactly where to begin: I meet you where you are at. It is also a chance for both of us to determine whether we're a good fit. The therapeutic relationship is an important part of the process and I want you to feel comfortable with my approach and confident that this is a space where you can be yourself. We'll take the time to see what feels right and identify how I can best support you moving forward.
My life experiences have taught me the importance of being truly heard while also recognizing that support sometimes means gently challenging the way we see ourselves or our circumstances. I bring both empathy and honesty into the therapy room. I can sit with you in difficult moments without rushing to fix, judge or offer a solution, while also being willing to push back when I notice patterns, beliefs or perspectives that may be keeping you stuck. I believe growth requires both compassion and accountability. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable, but also supported in taking an honest look at what may need to change. I meet each client where they are and adjust my approach based on what they need. Sometimes that means simply holding space, and sometimes it means asking the question you may not have wanted to ask yourself.
My ideal client is someone navigating a period of change, uncertainty or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life. This may include major life transitions, relationship or family challenges, changes in identity, anxiety, depression, stress or difficulty balancing their own needs with the expectations of others. They may be looking for a space to slow down, gain clarity, better understand themselves and work through patterns that no longer feel helpful. Some may want a place to process and feel heard, while others may be ready to take a more active approach in identifying goals and creating change. I welcome clients who are open to self-reflection and willing to explore their experiences with curiosity and honesty. My goal is to meet you where you are and collaborate on an approach that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
I help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected to one another. We will look at how unhelpful thinking patterns affect their mood and actions, and work on practical strategies to shift those patterns in a way that feels doable and realistic.
I help clients see what gets in the way of change and support them in building better habits for their mental health. We look at what matters, what holds them back and how ready they feel to take steps forward.
I teach clients how their brain and habits work to help them understand why certain patterns develop and why they can be so hard to break. Understanding the "why" behind their struggles reduces shame, normalizes their experience and gives them a clear framework for what to do differently.
I meet clients where they are and without judgment. I listen actively and create a safe and supportive space, where clients feel heard and respected. This helps clients feel comfortable about opening up and builds trust, which helps to set the foundation for any meaningful change.
