Hi, I'm Kendra, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I began working in the mental health and substance use field in 2019 and earned my Master of Social Work degree in 2023. I'm passionate about helping teens, adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges while creating a space where they feel heard, supported, and accepted. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to meet you where you are with compassion, curiosity, and without judgment. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, working through anxiety or depression, facing relationship challenges, navigating a major life transition, or simply looking for personal growth, I'm here to support you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin exploring what has brought you to therapy. We'll discuss what's been going on in your life, your current concerns, recognize your strengths, and touch on any experiences that feel important to understanding your story. Together, we'll identify what you'd like to get out of therapy and create a plan that feels right for you. My hope is that you'll leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and with a better sense of what working together will look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe one of the most important factors in successful therapy is the relationship between therapist and client. My clients often share that they feel supported, encouraged, and genuinely heard throughout our work together. I strive to create a space where you feel safe to be yourself and explore what matters most to you. Therapy is tailored to your unique needs and preferences—whether you're looking for space to process your experiences, practical solutions, direct feedback, or a blend of all three. Together, we'll find an approach that feels right for you and supports your goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals ages 16 and older who are open to self-exploration and ready for meaningful personal growth, even if they're unsure where to begin. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, or feeling stuck in patterns they're ready to better understand and change. I work best with clients who appreciate a balance of a relaxed, conversational approach and structured, goal-oriented support. Seeking support is often one of the hardest steps, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients as they build resilience, discover their strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a practical, skills-based approach to therapy. It helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. Together, we'll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and practice new ways of thinking and responding that can improve how you feel and help you reach your goals.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a collaborative, client-centered approach that helps people explore ambivalence about change. It focuses on clarifying personal goals, strengthening motivation, and supporting clients in identifying their own reasons for change in a nonjudgmental, supportive space.

Structural Family Therapy

Structural family therapy is a way of understanding and helping families by looking at how they are organized and how they interact with each other. Rather than focusing only on “fixing” one person, the goal is to help the whole family interact in healthier, more balanced ways. The therapist might help family members communicate more directly, support each other better, and create clearer roles so things feel less chaotic or strained.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT helps you build a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions so they don’t control your life. Instead of trying to eliminate discomfort, ACT teaches you skills to accept what you feel, stay present, and take action aligned with your values. The goal is to increase psychological flexibility so you can live a more meaningful and intentional life, even in the presence of stress or emotional pain.
