About me

I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of MA with over 15 years of experience helping adolescents and adults work through anxiety, persistent mood concerns, OCD, life transitions, and trauma. I also hold a School Adjustment Counselor Department of Education License (K-12) , which has deepened my commitment to supporting young people and adults. My approach is practical, down to earth, and collaborative. I pull from CBT, DBT, trauma informed care, and other evidence based approaches, but I always tailor each session to your unique strengths and goals. You can expect a space where you can show up exactly as you are, no judgement, just honest connection and real tools to help you move forward. Whether you're navigating a major life change, feeling stuck, or carrying something heavy from the past, I'm here to help you make sense of it an build the skills to feel more grounded and in control of conscious and subconscious thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is about getting to know each other and making sure you feel comfortable. I'll ask you a few questions about what brought you in, a bit about your history, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There's no pressure to have everything figured out or to share anything you're not ready to. We'll go at your pace, and by the end of the session we'll have a sense of where to start. Most people feel a little nervous before their first appointment, and that's completely normal. My goal is to make this a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring a practical, eclectic down to earth style that's rooted in over 15 years of work across very different settings from schools and correctional facilities to private practice and telehealth. That breadth of experience helps me connect with people from all walks of life without judgment. You'll find that I balance both: I'll sit with you in the hard moments and hold space when things are heavy, but I'll also gently push back and challenge you when old patterns need to be questioned. I believe real growth happens when you feel both supported and stretched, and I aim to bring that mix into every session.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adolescents and adults who are ready for treatment and are tired of feeling stuck, anxious, or weighed down by overthinking, low mood, or past experiences that still feel present. Many of my clients are navigating major life transitions, relationship challenges, or wrestling with self doubt and a harsh inner critic. They want to understand themselves better, learn real skills, and show up differently in their lives. Some come to me with a clear goal; others just know something has to change. Either way, I meet them where they are and we figure it out together.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help you identify the negative thought patterns and beliefs that increase anxiety, depression, and other challenges. Together we'll examine how your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviors are connected, then work on practical strategies to shift those patterns. Sessions are active and focused, you'll learn skills you can use outside of therapy to feel more in control and respond to life's stressors in healthier ways.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use CPT to help you work though the lingering effects of trauma. Together we'll identify the "stuck points" the beliefs about yourself, others, and the world that got shaped by what happened, and gently challenge whether they're still true. Sessions are structured and focused on giving you the tools to process what you've been through so it no longer holds the same power over your daily life.
