In our first session I will get some information about your background. We will also discuss what brought you to therapy and set goals for us to work on in sessions.
My biggest strength is in the trauma arena and relationship issues that include abuse. I'm comfortable supporting military members and others with PTSD.
I am particularly focused on those who have faced some sort of trauma, be it military service, assault, emotional, physical or sexual abuse. My other focus is on relationships.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients identify and change unhelpful thinking patterns. By recognizing cognitive distortions that contribute to emotional and behavioral challenges, we work together to reframe these thoughts and view them from a healthier perspective. This process empowers clients to gain more control over their reactions and create positive, lasting changes in their lives.
