Are you ready to Battle It With Therapy?
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia and Florida with over eight years of post-professional experience, dedicated to helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, depression, grief, LGBT-related issues, and compassion fatigue.
I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where your story can be heard and your healing can begin. Taking the first step into therapy isn’t easy, but it’s powerful and I’m here to walk beside you every step of the way.
Together, we’ll work toward resilience, growth, and balance in your life.
Let’s Battle It With Therapy. Your journey starts now.
Welcome! I'm Renita Howard, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and find greater well-being. With a deep passion for mental health, I've spent the past 8 years working with clients from diverse backgrounds to foster growth, healing, and resilience. I hold a Masters of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, where I developed a solid foundation in various therapeutic modalities.
I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices that empower clients to better understand their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives.
I integrate several therapeutic modalities in my work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches. Through these methods, I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful or “stuck” beliefs related to past experiences, strengthen personal motivation for growth, and develop greater awareness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present moment.
My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we work to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier perspectives that support long-term well-being.
I particularly enjoy working with individuals who are navigating trauma, stress, life transitions, and mood or anxiety-related concerns. Whether you are seeking to process past experiences, manage overwhelming emotions, or build new coping strategies, therapy can be a powerful step toward healing and personal growth.
I am a therapist who believes in empathy, active listening, applying objective, sound knowledge, & encouraging clients to build on the personal insight they gain from therapy. I have a diverse background, life experiences, & multiple professions including time in the military which has instilled a deep understanding of resilience & the complexities of navigating life. Couples & Individuals 17 years and older. NC, SC, GA, and VA.
Even strong, successful couples can struggle behind closed doors. Stress, busy schedules, communication breakdowns, unresolved hurt, intimacy challenges, parenting demands, and career pressures can slowly create distance in a relationship that once felt effortless.
I work with couples who want more than just fewer arguments — they want to feel connected, understood, desired, and supported again. Together, we work to improve communication, rebuild trust, deepen emotional and physical intimacy, and create healthier ways of navigating conflict and partnership.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Sex Therapist with 17 years of experience, I help couples strengthen both their relationship and their connection so they can build a marriage that feels secure, passionate, and sustainable long-term.
Welcome! I'm honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing and hope. I have four years of experience as a Mental Health Counselor, preceded by four years in Crisis Prevention and Addiction Recovery, supporting individuals through life's most difficult seasons.
I work with individuals beginning at age 8 through older adulthood, using an eclectic, evidence-based approach tailored to each person's unique needs. My therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma-Informed Care, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I believe every person has inherent worth, resilience, and the capacity for growth. My focus is helping clients discover their strengths, heal from trauma, and create lasting changes in their thoughts, behaviors, relationships, and daily lives. For clients who desire it, I also offer a faith-integrated approach, incorporating Christian principles and biblical truth into the counseling process while respecting each person's beliefs and values. My goal is to provide a compassionate, safe, and peaceful environment where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move toward healing, hope, and wholeness.

Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or major life changes? Let’s talk!
I do not prescribe medication, and I do not see clients under the age of 18.
My own life journey has deeply influenced the way I show up as a therapist. Having personally navigated challenges with self-esteem, depression, and the pain of divorce, I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to rebuild when life doesn’t go as planned. These experiences have given me a deep sense of empathy and a genuine desire to walk alongside others as they work through their own struggles.
In my practice, I provide a safe, compassionate space where clients can process their emotions, rediscover their strengths, and learn practical tools for healing and growth. I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and, when appropriate, Christian counseling principles to help individuals and couples find hope, balance, and renewed purpose. My goal is to help clients see that—even in life’s most difficult seasons—healing and transformation are possible.

My favorite book of all time is Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. One of the many wonderful things he says in that book is "When we are no longer able to change a situation we are challenged to change ourselves."
I see our work together as a team effort. Each client I see has his or her own story and unique perspective on that story, and I believe that within that story are the seeds to healing. My approach to helping my clients is in seeing each of my clients as a whole person who is struggling with something, whether it is anxiety, depression, relationships issues, substance abuse, communication, parenting, trauma, etc. Most often, it is how we perceive a situation or a struggle that defines how we deal with it or respond to it. I hope that I can help you with whatever your struggle may be, and to help you rewrite your story. I am not here to "fix" you, The work is yours to do, I am a facilitator and I provide evidenced based treatments, support and accountability., I help you gain clarity by providing a safe place to put your struggles and a place to heal and improve your overall health and wellbeing. Ultimately, my job is for you to eventually not need me.

My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in
west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well.
I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons.
With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia.
I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

Choosing to start therapy is a big step, and I don’t take that lightly. It’s truly a privilege to walk alongside people in seasons where they’re growing, reflecting, and working toward healing. My approach isn’t just built on training and clinical experience—it’s also shaped by my own personal journey and my faith. Because of that, I understand how overwhelming life can feel at times, but I also believe that change, clarity, and healing are real.
In my work as a therapist, I’ve supported individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, men’s issues, substance use, and trauma. Life moves fast, and a lot gets put on us emotionally. I am a master’s level licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC), (LPC) and credentialed SUD Counselor (CASAC-A) (CADC II) with training and expertise in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as psychodynamic treatment. I work with young adults and adults and have expertise in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, compulsive, addictive behaviors and domestic violence. I hope to help patients learn effective ways to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions and communicate well with others.
We have all acquired ways of coping that get in the way of our development, and manifest as emotional pain, such as anxiety and depression. I work with clients to identify and reduce these painful symptoms. Clients are then freer to use their energy in pursuit of their goals. I work with young, midlife, and older adults. I develop a safe and collaborative relationship with clients. In that context, I do short and long-term psychotherapy and train clients to use specific protocols to modify symptoms that are in the way of personal and professional functioning. My approach provides support, guidance, and education to help you become the best version of yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I consider it an honor to work alongside you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

In the past, I worked as a therapist on teenage girl units, and the autism unit as well as younger children and older boys. I was afforded the opportunity to assess children and adolescents in times of crisis and process unexpected life challenges. I worked with a team of qualified individual's severe and persistent mental illnesses through clinical assessments, risk assessments, intake assessments, and client evaluations.
The main form of treatment modalities I like to utilize is cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, I also utilize mindfulness, solution-focused and client-centered tactics. We will discuss strengthening communication and working as a team in therapy. My goal is to help you achieve your goals, lay out expectations, and help you utilize tools that will benefit you for the rest of your life. Working together we can achieve a great outcome for your life. Not just for today, but for the long haul.

Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker out of Northwest Georgia. I received my Masters of Social Work from the University of Georgia in 2012. I have worked in multiple settings with children, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma and loss. I have experience treating self-harming and suicidal behaviors in teens. I received my full clinical licensure in 2021. I enjoy helping teens and adults work through whatever barriers prevent them from pursuing their goals. I also enjoy helping them build on the skills they need to tackle future challenges.
