LCSW, 11 years of experience
At The Listening Room, we provide structured, goal-oriented therapy for individuals, families, and court-ordered referrals. Our approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family-based interventions, and individual counseling to address a range of concerns—including anxiety, stress, relational issues, and behavioral challenges. Sessions are focused and collaborative, with most clients beginning to report noticeable progress within 6–7 sessions. Whether you’re navigating personal challenges, family conflict, or mandated treatment, we offer a professional, supportive space where growth and healing can take place. For those interested in in-person sessions, these are available by appointment only. Before meeting in person, we first conduct three initial assessments to understand your needs and develop a tailored treatment plan—ensuring your time with us is purposeful and productive. To make therapy more accessible, we’ve partnered with Grow Therapy, a trusted platform that manages insurance billing and referrals. While The Listening Room LLC is independently owned and operated, Grow Therapy helps streamline access to care by handling the administrative side—so we can focus on delivering quality mental health services and truly listening to you.
During our initial session, we will conduct a measure-based intake process to explore your unique needs and experiences. This session is an opportunity for us to get to know you better. We will guide you through a thoughtful exploration to gain a comprehensive understanding of your mental health, challenges in fatherhood, parenting, family and women issues or any specific concerns you may have. Based on our conversation, we will develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to support your well-being and address your specific needs. Together, we will establish the foundation for a personalized journey toward growth and resilience.
Our greatest strengths as a practice are our effectiveness in working with adults and families, with a specialized focus on supporting men and fathers. We offer structured anger management classes, individual therapy focused on anger management, and court-ordered treatment and services as a sub-specialty. We excel at helping individuals improve their relationships with their families and significant others. While our primary expertise is in assisting men and fathers, we are equally committed to supporting all adults and families in achieving their full potential. Through targeted interventions and a personalized approach, we guide individuals and families toward positive changes in their personal and relational lives.
Our ideal clients are families and individuals navigating complex and sensitive situations—such as long-held family secrets, behavioral challenges, separation or divorce, anxiety, and unexpected life events that disrupt daily living. Whether these challenges arise suddenly or have been building over time, we offer compassionate, structured guidance to help clients process experiences, strengthen connections, and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Guiding me through the process of figuring out what is truly causing my anxiety and the depression I am beginning to feel suffocated by. Helping me clear my mind to make discission for myself, not my children. They are moving back home without considering the additional financial burden I'm under.

She helps me see what I need to work on without judging me. She allows me to decide how I want to change my mindset while offering guidance to point me in the right direction. It’s empowering because, with every session, I feel myself moving in a better direction and gaining more control over myself and my life.

We help clients by using a method called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where we explore how thoughts, actions, and behavior are connected. This process usually takes around 8-12 weeks, and clients often notice an improvement in symptoms by the 5th or 6th session.
The solution-focused approach focuses on finding practical solutions to current issues rather than dwelling on problems. It's about identifying what's working and building on those strengths to create positive changes.
We utilize family therapy as a collaborative intervention to strengthen communication, resolve conflict, and foster healthier dynamics within the family system. By identifying patterns and encouraging open dialogue, we help families build stronger connections and support individual and collective growth. Our approach is tailored, culturally sensitive, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
