I've been a mental health counselor longer than I was a person and when I discovered such I realized how to turn my life journey and passion for wellness and identity into a way of helping others find meaning, relief, and direction during life transitions and challenges. I am a psychotherapist and wellness expert who enjoys being a support and open ear for those in need of a safe space and change within their lives. With a diverse background in providing therapy and counseling services, I like to start with meeting you where you are at and seeing the path that you desire. I enjoy helping you find ways and strategies that support movement towards your goals or healing. I have a bag of tricks and skills to offer if that is what is necessary. I'd rather connect as persons navigating this big thing called 'life' by offering perspective through a lens of individualized strengths, personality preferences (e.g. MBTI), emotional regulation/stress management, and the dimensions of wellness.

I am a dedicated and caring Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified EMDR Trauma Therapist, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional in the States of Georgia and New York, with over 15 years of clinical experience in the mental health field. I specialize in the treatment of trauma, grief and loss, mood disorders, personality disorders and family relationships. I am fully multilingual and offer therapy in English, Spanish and Portuguese. I am originally from the Dominican Republic where I first graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology. From an early age I was called into the mental health field in a society where mental illness was stigmatized and a forbidden topic. This calling and life mission led me to spending decades studying Neurosciences, Psychology and Trauma Treatment. I hold a Master of Science degree in Neurosciences and a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as Certifications in Trauma Treatment and advanced trainings in EMDR Therapy, IFS therapy, Contextual Therapy, among others . Understanding the human experience with trauma, pain and loss and witnessing how through therapy healing is possible, has been the seal of a lifelong legacy. As a psychotherapist I practice a holistic and integrative approach and work mainly from a psychodynamic, trauma informed and neuroscientific and systemic perspective, based on the evidence of how trauma impacts the body and brain, and the awareness that in order to create lasting change and heal trauma wounds we must create insight and integrate past and present while establishing a secure connection with ourselves and in relationship with our significant others. It is now my honor to be your therapist. As your therapist it is my goal to guide you through your journey of internal growth and lasting healing.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been counseling clients dealing with a variety of mental, emotional, and relational issues for a number of years. I have counseled adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups. I decided to pursue a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy because I realized the impact that our families, and society as well, have on our mental and emotional development. The impact is both positive and negative and may manifest as depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, a lack of a sense of self and other mental and emotional disorders. In counseling, I help clients explore those influences and the impact on their life. My specialties then center around helping clients gain insight into those influences, become more empowered, develop a stronger sense of self, and take steps to become who they really are; thereby addressing mental and emotional health issues. It's important to note that many times, experiences unfortunately include trauma and loss. It may be childhood or other trauma. Identifying, acknowledging and processing trauma and loss is therefore often a part of the process of becoming more empowered and developing that strong sense of self described above. .

I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who is dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based practices that empower clients to better understand their experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I integrate several therapeutic modalities in my work, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based approaches. My goal is to create a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and supported as they explore difficult emotions and experiences. Together, we work to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and cultivate healthier perspectives that support long-term well-being. Counseling is more than a career choice for me. It’s my response to what I believe is a divine calling that I’m honored to answer! Professionally I hold Master’s degrees in Education and Clinical Mental Health, a National Board Certification in Counseling and a Professional Counselor license. My credentials qualify me in this work but it’s my passion for people, my fascination with human behavior and conviction about humans’ birthright to sustainable joy that drives me. I take a holistic, integrative approach to counseling, exploring the needs of the whole person - mind, body and spirit. I'll encourage you to embrace the idea that we're all intrinsically whole and have power in all circumstances that life and choices confront us with. Despite how bleak things may seem, you'll be reminded you have what it takes to not only endure but prevail! Sometimes we just need a little help discovering growth and meaning amid the noise of our anxieties, fears and regrets.

Hi, I’m Akemi. Welcome! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who loves helping people over 30 navigate the messy middle of life- those seasons of transition, anxiety, and self-doubt that can leave you feeling stuck or unsure of your next steps. My passion is helping you sort through those feelings, rebuild confidence, and move forward with clarity and hope. For clients who want to bring faith into the process, I also provide Christian counseling, blending biblical truth with practical, evidence-based therapy. Whether your faith is the foundation of your life or just one piece of your journey, we’ll incorporate it in a way that feels authentic to you. I’ll admit, I’m a bit of a brain nerd. I enjoy teaching clients what’s happening in their mind and body, why it can feel so hard to break old habits, how subconscious thoughts drive behavior, and practical ways to retrain the nervous system. (Geeky? Yes. Helpful? Absolutely.) My style is warm, encouraging, and goal-focused. I’ll meet you right where you are with compassion, honesty, and this is the "judgement free zone", like Planet Fitness! Outside of the therapy room, I’ve authored two books, 15 Minute Journal Prompts for the Postpartum Mom and Mindful Mandalas for Moms and I’m currently working on my third book. While I don’t specialize in treating bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, or substance use disorders, I’m always happy to refer clients to trusted colleagues who do. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: therapy should feel like a safe, uplifting space where you can be yourself, work through what’s weighing on you, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want. It would be an honor to walk alongside you on that journey. Akemi McGoogan, MSW, LCSW

You DESERVE to Re-SET, To Re-FUEL, To Re-CHARGE. And then TAKE FLIGHT! Since entering the field of therapy I have learned to ascribe to the adage “all behavior has meaning.” Yes, ALL behavior. A deep curiosity for why we all act and think the way we do coupled with my own life’s challenges and experiences has led me to a place of compassion for not only my own life choices but compassion for others. Our thoughts lead to feelings, which leads to action. We are not always proud of our actions. As a woman, mother, wife, and veteran I know all too well the shame that comes with our personal choices and behaviors. I also know there is also a fear of JUDGEMENT when it comes to considering therapy. This is a no-judgement zone and if you are seeking a different feeling and action in your life then you have landed at the right place!

My name is Bill Massey and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in west central Georgia and east central Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia's MSW program in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services as well. I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen wanting attention for some time. For many years I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling other than crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy. This is not effective for many reasons. With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my services of counseling and case management to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for all too long. My coverage area for in-home therapy will be Lee, Russell, and Chambers counties in Alabama as well as Muscogee, Chattahoochee, and Harris Counties in Georgia. I am opening up limited appointment times for virtual counseling as of mid May 2024.

I am a master’s level licensed clinical mental health counselor (LMHC), (LPC) and credentialed SUD Counselor (CASAC-A) (CADC II) with training and expertise in both Cognitive Behavior Therapy as well as psychodynamic treatment. I work with young adults and adults and have expertise in treating patients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, compulsive, addictive behaviors and domestic violence. I have specialized training in various evidence-based treatments for trauma such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). I hope to help patients learn effective ways to cope with stress, manage difficult emotions and communicate well with others. We have all acquired ways of coping that get in the way of our development, and manifest as emotional pain, such as anxiety and depression. I work with clients to identify and reduce these painful symptoms. Clients are then freer to use their energy in pursuit of their goals. I work with young, midlife, and older adults. I develop a safe and collaborative relationship with clients. In that context, I do short and long-term psychotherapy and train clients to use specific protocols to modify symptoms that are in the way of personal and professional functioning. My approach provides support, guidance, and education to help you become the best version of yourself and work towards achieving your goals. I consider it an honor to work alongside you, and I look forward to meeting you soon.

I’m a therapist at Radically Human Therapy Solutions, and I believe that every person’s story matters. I work with women who feel overwhelmed by emotions, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, or are navigating life transitions that feel uncertain. In our work together, I combine evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care with a human-first perspective, creating a space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I guide clients to uncover their strengths, explore challenges safely, and develop practical tools that help them navigate emotions, relationships, and personal growth. My goal is to support you in building resilience, gaining clarity, and living a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with who you truly are.

Hi, I’m LaNae! Think of me as the therapist who brings equal parts humor, warmth, and honesty into the room. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel stiff or scary—it can be a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and even laugh a little along the way. I’m not a one size fits all therapist. However, if I am a match we will take great strides and efforts to reach your goals.
