I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who specializes in helping adults heal from trauma and unhealthy or abusive relationships—whether those relationships are with people, substances, or patterns that have become difficult to break. Many of my clients know something is hurting them but still struggle to let go, find themselves returning to familiar cycles, or feel they’ve lost parts of themselves along the way. My approach is warm, direct, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. I integrate evidence-based therapy with existential and depth-oriented perspectives to explore not only what is happening, but why certain relationships and patterns can feel so difficult to change. Together, we’ll work to understand what keeps you stuck, strengthen self-trust, develop healthier ways of coping and relating, and reconnect with the person you want to be.

Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns. To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress. My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki. Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving individuals throughout the Tampa, Lakeland, and Orlando areas. I have worked in the mental health field for over five years and have had the privilege of supporting people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. As an Army veteran, I understand firsthand some of the unique challenges that can come with stress, life transitions, service-related experiences, and finding balance in everyday life. Throughout my career, I have provided counseling and support to veterans, individuals struggling with substance use, adolescents and adults facing difficult life circumstances, and people navigating mental health concerns in a variety of settings. My professional experience includes working in hospitals as a medical social worker, outpatient mental health clinics serving low-income and at-risk youth and adults, substance abuse treatment programs, and correctional settings providing services to incarcerated individuals. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the resilience people show when facing adversity and have reinforced my belief that meaningful change is possible for everyone. My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to work toward your goals. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, substance use concerns, or simply feeling stuck, I am committed to helping you develop the tools and confidence needed to move forward. Hello potential client! You are hurting in some way if you are here reading this. Maybe you feel like you are getting more and more stressed out and just one more stressor would be too much for you to handle. Maybe you worry all the time about everything and can't stop. Maybe you are sad all the time and don't enjoy doing things that used to be fun. Maybe you are feeling helpless or hopeless about what to do. Maybe you have been through a traumatic experience or are grieving. Maybe you are thinking the way you have been using substances is causing you problems. You have tried your best to help yourself but nothing has worked the way you hoped it would. You don't know what to do but you do know you can't keep going the way you have been. This is where I come in! I help people who are ready to change for the better! My heart is for helping hurting people and I strive to treat all of my clients with the compassion and respect I believe they deserve. The most important part of positive change in a therapeutic relationship depends on just that - the relationship between the therapist and the client. I also use a variety of resources to help my clients. These include evidence-based types of therapy, worksheets and measurements. I also offer Christian counseling to those who are interested and am also happy to work with people of other spiritual beliefs. I offer free consultation calls so we can both decide if working together would be a good fit for both of us. I look forward to hearing from you if I sound like I would be your kind of therapist!

Hi there! I'm Dorian. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida - a Jax native with a recent move south to the Space Coast. I received my Masters of Social Work from Florida State University in 2014 focusing on clinical social work. I approach therapy with flexibility and adaptability, focusing on what will best align with you, the client. But, of note, I do so very casually, honestly, conversationally, and course, hilariously (the latter, though subjective, has been confirmed. By me.) . Opening yourself up to therapy can be intimidating! A bit scary! But there's no requirement stating you must dread it. Through my views on mental health, self help, and all kinds of therapy - combined with, well, my personality - it seems that I've become adept at a sort of "stealth therapy." Admittedly self-defined, I'd best explain this by saying that sessions are conversational, instead of a "traditional" therapist-role to client-role back and forth. Just kidding. But, I approach therapy in a way I . I don't speak in riddles, and I won't pretend that I know you better than you know you. I listen, I hear your words -- your input has value and I will never dismiss you or your concerns.
