I am an energetic and creative therapist passionate about meeting with people to bring more clarity, peace, and joy into their life. I am also a Christian, mother, cat-mom, artist, athlete, amateur cook/baker, and reading enthusiast. I utilize a mixture of evidence-based practices and creative exercises to meet people where they are at, develop a deep understanding of their circumstances, as well as how they are thinking about those circumstances. I guide my client to setting specific intentions for our time together that they agree will be worthwhile. I will be warm and understanding, but I am also not afraid to challenge my clients on things they could benefit from changing. I often enjoy using humor and laughter as a force for that change.
I have experience serving in a private practice outpatient capacity, intensive outpatient hospital setting, and at the residential level of care. These unique settings have given me a variety of skills and an ability to understand multiple levels of distress and/or what past treatment may have been like for my clients (the good, the bad, and the ugly.)
Hi! My name is Jacqueline Lizarazo, and I go by Jackie. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in therapy for individuals, children, and couples, with a focus on grief, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and sexual abuse.
Why Choose Me:
I want you to read the following passages:
On Abuse: “I lived in a glass house into which my mother could look at any time. In a glass house, however, you cannot conceal anything without giving yourself away, except by hiding it under the ground. And then you cannot see it yourself, either.”
On Depression: “Trees aren’t supposed to display fruit; they’re supposed to produce it. As much as I wanted to see results, I knew that I had to wait. The tree had to become healthy and mature before it could produce the fruit, and that takes time.”
If what you read resonates with you, this is the type of therapy I offer. I push, and sometimes might make you cry—not to harm, but for growth. I deeply care about my patients and only want the best for you.
I am not judgmental; I am here to listen and provide feedback. I often ask myself the question: if I were sitting where you are, would I come back? And the answer is yes. I give homework, so don’t expect it to be easy unless we need it to be. I am flexible, and my schedule is pretty open to fit your needs.
We’re going to have days where we just catch up and talk about what happened that week but be prepared to talk about your past. I believe together we can grow into the person you want to be.
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who helps couples navigate disconnection, repeated conflict, and life transitions that feel overwhelming or unclear.
My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real, practical conversations. I use a faith-informed Christian, Solution-Focused, and Gottman-informed approach to help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface, improve communication, and reconnect in meaningful ways.
I believe most couples aren’t lacking love, they’re stuck in patterns that leave both partners feeling unheard or misunderstood. In our work, we slow things down, make sense of those patterns, and create new ways of showing up with each other that feel more intentional and supportive.
My goal is to help you feel like a team again, with tools you can actually use outside of sessions to build a relationship that feels more stable, connected, and secure.
Going through a change can be very tough and hard to navigate. Whether the changes are good or difficult, they can still be hard to work through. I can help you find a balance with the changes occurring in your life and the peace you hope to feel. Together we can work as a team to locate solutions to find acceptance and work out a plan to help you move forward in your life in a way that brings fulfillment.
I use a whole self-approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. Although I can help you work through most changes you might be experiencing, I have many year's experience working with individuals in the Hospice setting, helping patients and survivors find peace during the end of life with dignity. These experiences have been strengthened by my personal journey with breast cancer, which has given me a perspective on the other side.
I hope I can use my 30 plus years' experience as a therapist and my personal experience as a cancer survivor to help you learn how to find happiness and peace in your life.

Hi there, I am Charly.
As a clinical therapist, I admire your willingness to seek therapy support. I want to offer understanding, and empathic emotional support to assist anyone experiencing emotional distress.
Most people tend to suffer silently in their heads, or minds, due to conscious or subconscious, self-blame, shame, or guilt feelings as they seem to feel helpless. Individuals experiencing acute emotional distress due to mental health conditions often fail to realize that unresolved, deep internal pain or heartache is silently triggering their emotional distress.
One school of talk therapy called, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), proposes that the lack of the capacity for "Psychological Flexibility" and our brain's default, or Survival Mode functioning the instinctual responses of "Flight or Flight," as required for human survival.
As, your therapist, I am willing to support you in exploring your difficulty or distress and examine the mental barriers or psychological blinders causing you to feel internally conflicted and stuck. Some of my past and current clients tell me that "my ability to relate to them with an open mind and withholding personal judgment and a solution-focused perspective," helps them to feel at ease and connect with me and my style of therapy.
I follow an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from academic learning, experiential knowledge, and over 30 years of practicing experience using evidence-based treatment modalities based on scientific literature and up-to-date neuroscience research. I have training and experience in the following major treatment modalities such as CBT, REBT, SFBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and specifically to deal with trauma, a newer form of Rapid Eye Movement Therapy (Accelerated Resolution Therapy).
Do you feel overwhelmed, frustrated or misunderstood? I am here to help.

My decision to become a therapist was based on my need to restart my life more happily and healthily a little over 10 years ago. I take a more existential approach to psychotherapy and utilize other approaches such as CBT and DBT and teach about the brain and how it reacts to stress.

Life can feel heavy sometimes—and trying to hold it all together gets exhausting. If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you can’t seem to break, you’re not alone. I help adults work through anxiety, stress, trauma, and relationship challenges in a way that feels real, supportive, and actually helpful. My goal is simple: help you feel more like yourself again, but stronger, more confident, and in control.
As a licensed clinical social worker, I am committed to collecting evidenced based "tools for my toolbox" to aid those grappling with finding the new normal after their world has shifted. I most love helping people find language to describe their losses, often when there has been difficulty finding the words, inspiring people to find hope again, and facilitate the development of a plan to move forward in a way that both honors their experiences and embraces the future.
I take an action-oriented, collaborative approach to therapy. I utilize a combination of psychoeducation, storytelling, and evidenced-based interventions to offer meaningful insight to support clients’ healing. I strongly believe that rock bottom is the foundation upon which we can rebuild our lives. We do regular check-ins to review progress along the way. Our goal is not to change the past, but instead to find some relief from symptoms that impact daily functioning. I will solicit feedback regularly during sessions for takeaways to gauge progress and curate treatment interventions based on what is most engaging and productive for the individual client.

I got into counseling because I love to listen! It was second nature to me, growing up. I also delved into the works of Carl Jung as a teen, and never looked back. Images, metaphors, archetypes and dreams all inform my practice; they help us process and resolve questions.

I am a marriage and family therapist and I help people overcome childhood trauma. I have worked with several clients who have experienced relationship, work related and family issues. Every client is unique and is facing their own distinctive challenges. Therefore each treatment plan should be personalized and individualized. An ideal client is one who comes to counseling with an open mind and is ready to try new approaches and coping skills. Each person will benefit differently from a wide variety of approaches. Together we can and will find the right strategies that work best for you. There is not a "normal" or "standard" cookie-cutter path. It is a journey! I have experience working with issues as grief, anxiety, anger, mood, neurological, trauma, relationship issues, substance use disorders, and more.
I am dually independently licensed and passionate about providing the utmost quality of services to people struggling with mental health, substance use disorders and dual diagnoses. The therapeutic environment is a safe place for clients and their families to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, existential, EMDR, and Person-Centered treatment interventions and I have found that when using these interventions, people begin to realize the strength to overcome challenges.
