There is one thing I am gifted at and that’s touching the lives of others through therapy. A wise man once said, “Mental strength is not the ability to stay out of the darkness; it’s the ability to sit present in the darkness knowing that the light will shine again”. I am an influencer of change and a strong believer that your perspective will take you as far as you can see.

Hola! If you are reading this you have stepped out of your comfort zone and are exploring who you can trust with your innermost thoughts and feelings. As a mental health professional, I have seen first-hand the plight of the human condition. Throughout the past 20+ years, I have gained incredible experience & insight that have uniquely prepared me for this work. As a licensed clinical social worker I have served diverse populations well, throughout the New York Tri-State area as well as in Florida's Southwest & Central areas since 2013 in various capacities.
From my own curative journey I have borrowed a whole-person approach: mind, body, & soul. There is no "magic pill," or quick fixes when it comes to harnessing sustainable mental wellness. It has been my personal experience that this process can lead to deep restoration from the layers of adversity. Each layer will reveal itself in its own time. This is why therapy will look different for everyone at different stages of life.
I would be honored to support you in exploring what hurts, frustrates, confuses, & a host of other emotions that come up when revisiting difficult childhood experiences, losses, grievances, life transitions, & postpartum. As a trauma-informed & trauma-responsive professional, I will hold a non-judgmental space, where you will be patiently supported and spurred on along your therapeutic journey. You will be provided with a safe place where you can explore your thoughts & emotions to manifest a shift in your perspective developing the clarity, growth, peace, & healing you so desire.
Life is full of adjustments and transitions. My goal in therapy is to accompany people in their journey towards these changes and to provide a safe space for them to heal, grow and re-discover who they are to thrive in life.
I want to help individuals identify and cope with issues affecting their mental health by increasing their self-compassion with the help of mindfulness and other solution-focused interventions.
I utilize a key component of self-care and self-love to help clients develop a stronger, more confident self-image. Clients can expect to feel safe & heard, while gaining clarity with interactive homework assignments. I work with clients who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or trauma related to relationships or life issues. Most of my clients see a gradual decrease of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 17 years of experience working with children (ages 5–18), adults, couples, and families. I earned my Master of Arts in Guidance Counseling from Argosy University in 2008. I became a certified school counselor that same year, holding a professional certification through the Department of Education (Certification#1101243).
After several successful years in school counseling, I decided to expand my scope of practice and transition into therapy full-time. In October 2023, I became a Registered Mental Health Intern and subsequently completed a Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University in June 2024.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family, listening to audiobooks, going for walks in the park, watching Netflix, and baking.

Hello! It’s a pleasure to meet you, please call me Dee. I’m a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and a retired Army veteran. I have over 18 years
of professional counseling experience working with both children and adults. My undergraduate degree was earned at the University of Mary
Hardin-Baylor and my graduate degree earned at the University of North Florida.
Credentials:
Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Nationally Board-Certified Mental Health Counselor
Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Florida Board Certified Telehealth Practitioner
Certified Supervisor for Post Graduate Mental Health Counselors
I have served clients as individuals, families, and within group environments. Additionally, my counseling experience has included inpatient, outpatient, and crisis stabilization units within the Florida Department of Corrections. I also served as the mental health authority within medium to low-risk juvenile inpatient programs. My experience also includes working within community social service agencies and Medicaid programs. In my years of professional experience, I have found that Depressive and Anxiety Disorders are managed best using Psychotherapy. Whereas many clients may find it helpful to include Antidepressant/Antianxiety medications, it has been my experience that medications alone are less effective and are often supported by Counseling Intervention with a Professional Counselor.
I am a clinical social worker with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Mennonite University and my master’s degree in clinical social work from George Mason University. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, family conflict, grief and loss, peer relationships, school issues, and self-esteem. My therapeutic approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, strength-based practices, and stress management techniques. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen and heard while building resilience and developing effective coping skills to manage emotional distress.
Hi, I’m Kelly Tamburro, LPC. I’m a trauma-informed therapist who helps high achievers, caregivers, and young adults break out of anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout. I rely heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand your patterns, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and build practical skills that actually make life feel lighter.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. On the outside, you might be the responsible one, the strong one, or the one people rely on, but inside you may feel exhausted, anxious, or unsure of how to slow down. You don’t have to keep holding everything by yourself.
My style is warm, calm, and collaborative. I provide a nonjudgmental space to process trauma, gain insight, and learn tools that support long-term healing. While my Grow practice is fully virtual, I bring a nature-informed perspective to therapy, using grounding, mindfulness, and nature-based reflection to help you feel more centered and connected wherever you are.
If you’re ready to understand yourself more deeply, find relief from stress and trauma symptoms, and rebuild your sense of balance and confidence, I’d love to support you.
Embark on a transformative journey to emotional well-being with me, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over nine years of experience. Working with diverse clients, including adults and families, has been a great privilege. My mission is to alleviate distress and help you overcome mental health challenges through a personalized approach tailored to your unique life and experiences.
Heyyy, I'm Autumn,
Do you ever feel like you're expected to be Superwoman, always strong and capable, no matter what? It's easy to get overwhelmed when you're carrying that weight day in and day out. And when it comes to relationships, it can feel like you're stuck in a vicious cycle of bad decisions and unsatisfying connections. Maybe you're struggling to connect intimately with your partner, or maybe you're feeling hopeless and empty. That's where I come in. As someone who understands what you're going through, I'm here to help.
Therapy is a place where you can be you, the real, unfiltered you. And trust me, it's a beautiful thing. Plus, you know what's even better? That newfound confidence you gain during therapy can spill over into your day-to-day life. It's all about creating positive change, growth, and ultimately a fulfilling life. So, if you're ready to prioritize your needs and take that all-important first step toward a healthier life.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Florida. I graduated from New Mexico Highlands University in 2021 after several years working with women, children, and families in community-based agencies. My approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, gender-affirming, and grounded in attachment theory. Using a strengths-based approach I use narrative, solution-focused, nature, integrative therapies, mindfulness, meditation, and breathwork. Although we will be meeting virtually, I encourage people to get outside as often as possible!
Trained as a psychologist (Ph.D. from Cornell University). Some 20 years later I earned a second graduate degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. I am a fully licensed therapist in the State of Florida.
I have taught psychology at Princeton, Tulane, Cornell, and Harvard Medical School.
We will spend most of our time creating solutions, instead of analyzing problems. So often, therapy gets bogged down in the endless exploration of problems. Problems are the results of behaviors that didn't work for you in the past. Solutions flow from changes that will work for you starting right now. Solutions make your life better. They bring joy and peace to your life.
Do you find yourself appearing capable and composed on the outside while quietly carrying a constant sense of pressure, responsibility, or emotional exhaustion on the inside? Many high-functioning professionals and women are skilled at managing work, relationships, and expectations, yet still feel overwhelmed by the invisible weight they carry.
I am a licensed therapist dedicated to creating a safe and affirming space where your experiences are heard, respected, and explored without judgment. My counseling approach honors the complexity of your life and the cultural, relational, and personal factors that shape how you show up in the world. Together, we examine the patterns that contribute to stress, over-responsibility, emotional urgency, and difficulty prioritizing your own needs.
In therapy, we work to slow down the cycle of constant doing and shift toward greater clarity, regulation, and self-understanding. This process often includes identifying long-standing patterns, strengthening emotional boundaries, and building healthier ways of responding to stress, relationships, and internal pressure.
My goal is to support you in processing life’s challenges while reconnecting with your strengths and capacity for balance. At the center of my work is the belief that meaningful change begins with awareness, followed by intentional repair and compassionate growth—an approach reflected in the Break. Repair. Heal.™ framework that guides my practice.
Lorianna Kardok, MS, LMHC, is a licensed mental health therapist with more than 17 years of experience helping individuals break free from emotional and relational patterns that leave them feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves. She works with clients who often feel unsure about their emotions, struggle to understand their reactions, or find themselves repeating the same painful relationship cycles. Many of the people she supports have spent years prioritizing others’ needs while feeling unable to identify or express their own.
Lorianna specializes in helping clients understand the deeper roots of their emotional and behavioral patterns. She guides individuals in exploring why they choose certain partners, why the same conflicts keep resurfacing, and why they may feel alone or frustrated despite their best efforts. Her work focuses on helping clients reconnect with themselves, heal from past wounds, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships—both with others and with their own inner world.

Hi, I’m Anakarla.
If you’ve been feeling anxious, stuck, hard on yourself, or unsure of who you’re becoming, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to sort it out by yourself. Many of the people I work with are used to “holding it together” on the outside, while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or questioning their direction on the inside.
I’m a Latina therapist who believes therapy should feel warm, supportive, and rooted in real connection, not clinical or distant. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, which means we move at your pace and work together as a team. I see you as the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you make sense of your experiences, gently challenge what’s not serving you, and support you in building a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
Our work together is a mix of reflection and action. We’ll explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, while also building practical tools you can use in your everyday life. I often incorporate approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, but in a way that feels natural, not overwhelming or overly technical. Think of it as creating a toolkit that helps you not just cope, but feel more grounded, confident, and intentional in how you live.
I also believe healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy. When it feels right, I bring in humor and lightness to help you feel more at ease and human in the process.

I know how difficult it can be to start therapy, and if you are reading this then you have already taken a step to getting started and that is a huge win! If you’re interested, below is a little more about how I developed my clinical background and areas of training:
My path in psychology began at Florida International University, where I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. During my doctoral internship at the Mental Health Center of Florida, I worked across community mental health, family court, and private clinical settings with a wide range of individuals and families. I went on to complete my postdoctoral fellowship at Alliance for Psychological Services, where I provided therapy and psychological assessments in forensic and high-intensity settings, including court-mandated work involving family court, dependency court, and the Department of Corrections. Today, I provide both therapy and psychological assessment. My clinical work often centers around anxiety, depression, trauma histories, life transitions, and complex family dynamics. I also have a strong interest in sports and performance psychology, particularly in supporting athletes and high-performing individuals who want to strengthen the connection between mental and physical performance.
My name is Lorena Klahr, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals, couples, and families navigating emotional and relational challenges. I also work with individuals and families experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. My approach is rooted in creating a space where clients can better understand themselves, process their emotions, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I have extensive experience supporting clients through grief and loss, including my work in hospice settings. I help individuals process the loss of a loved one in a way that feels honoring, supportive, and paced to their unique needs.
In addition, I specialize in postpartum support for individuals and couples adjusting to parenthood. This includes emotional support around birth experiences, changes in identity and family roles, and the mental and emotional aspects of lactation and early parenthood.
My work is warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative. I aim to create a safe space where clients feel truly heard while also gaining clarity, tools, and insight to improve their relationships and overall well-being.
John Checkett is the first man in history to earn a master's degree in Women's Studies in Florida.
How many times has this happened to you: You've made an innocent remark, and the other person distorts it and blames you for the distortion, not for what you actually said. That's called the Strawman Argument and is a common problem of communication -- communication typically being the single biggest problem couples have. Communication is one of the social sciences, and one of John's specialties, along with Women's Studies, Pastoral Psychology and Clinical Social Work.
He helps high-functioning men and women free themselves from low self-esteem and negative thinking. As a former officer in the Theosophical Society and a former professional psychic, he firmly believes in the value of Spirituality to Mental Health. He can also help with exercise and nutrition, to help create a holistically healthy situation for you.
Whether you're dealing with anxiety or depression, relationship problems, or just feel overwhelmed, Prof Checkett is here to help -- even with time management! You might feel bit nervous about starting therapy, but he's extremely easy to talk to, knowledgeable in a wide variety of subjects, and very media-literate. Most people feel better after a session. In a short time we can get you unstuck and back to living a happy life again.

I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach. While uncomfortable feelings might be a commonality (especially in today's world), I believe we are all individuals who learn, experience, and react to situations differently. One thing I know for sure, if everything was going "great" chances are you would not be reading this bio right now. BRAVO to you for taking this monumental step and investing in yourself!!!
Hi, I'm Masha Andreoni, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with 14+ years of professional/educational experience and 49+ years of lived experience. A majority of my work experience has been spent working with Veterans and Active Duty Reservists focusing on post deployment issues, substance use/abuse, and military sexual trauma. Today, I work with individuals/groups/families within a multitude of populations.
Most importantly, I do not believe that individuals fit snuggly into a particular mental health "box." For example, if diagnosed with PTSD... there is a good chance that anxiety, depression, insomnia, relationship difficulties, work-related issues (etc.) may be present. If struggling with addictions...anxiety, depression insomnia, relationship difficulties, work-related issues (etc.) may be present (you get it). My focus/goal is to understand where you are coming from, what you hope to achieve, avoid making any particular judgements/labels, and work together as we embrace this journey of solution focused change and betterment.
While I can take the time to tell you how my approach is warm, motivating, understanding, open....in the end, this is for you to decide. I can however assure you that regardless of diplomas achieved, I never stop pursuing education in this ever-changing field/world. I am here to be of service. With me comes my personality, knowledge, humor (when appropriate), and respect! Truly looking forward to working with you.
My name is Connie Owens, I am passionate about helping women overcome trauma and Narcissistic abuse. My approach is Holistic. We will address the 4 interdependent parts of self; 1. Mind, 2. Body, 3. Soul, and 4. Spirit. I believe that we are each uniquely different and to heal all of you we will need to treat all of you. Together we will develop a plan to look at every aspect of your life to see how it contributes to causing you emotional pain, and then focus on a solution to help you overcome the emotional pain, for good.

There's no one-size-fits-all here, just support that fits who you are and what you need to help your mental health right now. Regardless of what brings you here, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey!
My journey in mental health began in 2004, when I realized helping others find light through darkness was my true calling. After earning my master’s degree, I started my career at Phoenix House in Brandon, Florida, where I discovered a deep passion for supporting people as they recover and rebuild.
I specialize in counseling individuals struggling with addiction, problem gambling, and co-occurring mental health challenges. My approach is person-centered, strength-based, and empathic, empowering clients to uncover their own capabilities and create healthy, fulfilling lives. I believe that with the right support and tools, anyone can move beyond survival and into meaningful, lasting change.
There’s no denying that life isn’t always a walk in the park. While I’m sure you can relate to this as an adult, the same goes for kids, teens, and college-age students. Don’t forget, they’re going through this life without a manual, just as you are.
But life is also spectacularly beautiful.
Unfortunately, the trials faced during any phase of life can often dim that beauty and hold your child back from living the life they deserve. Anxiety, depression, and self-doubt can creep into anyone's life at any age. Mental health challenges can rob them of happiness, self-confidence, and life-fulfillment.
I get it. I’ve been in their shoes. As an experienced, understanding, and caring counselor for teens, children, and young adults. I can help support your child, whether they are elementary-school-aged, in the turbulent teenage years, or college-aged.
And, because I value being an advocate for kids and an ally for parents, I can support you, too.
