Greetings, I'm Sonya
There are times when we all experience a loss of our sense of self. You may feel like you’re on a journey but aren’t quite sure which turn to take next. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, confused, sad, angry—or simply “blah.” You may have great friends, watch self-help TikToks, and try to figure things out on your own, yet still find yourself not feeling okay or unsure of where to turn.
I bring a calm, accepting, and relatable presence to therapy, which allows me to build meaningful connections with my clients. I provide a judgment-free environment centered on calmness, peace, and support, where you can feel comfortable being yourself, expressing your thoughts and emotions, and knowing that you are heard.
Together, we will explore and process the experiences, thoughts, and situations that may be impacting your emotional well-being and daily life. My goal is to empower you to develop practical strategies, strengthen your coping skills, and gain greater confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Sometimes, you simply need a safe place to start. I look forward to walking alongside you as you work toward greater clarity, balance, and a more peaceful resolution.

Coming from a multicultural background it has allowed me to see things in all different lights and spaces. It has allowed me to observe and be present in ways not many people get to experience. I enjoy working with individuals on racial identity, and cultural acceptance.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, based in Florida. I was born in the Island of Jamaica but attended College in the USA, where I gained my Bachelors in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University and my Masters from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I began my Professional work in 2019 and worked tirelessly with older teenagers, adults and seniors. However, I also did many hours of internship at a Counseling center and also at a Mental Health Facility, where I gained invaluable experiences. I am passionate about:
Preparing engaged couples for marriage and helping married couples build healthy marriages.
Supporting individuals through grief, divorce, separation, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other life challenges.
If You Desire Faith-Based Counseling
For clients who request Christian counseling, biblical principles and prayer may be thoughtfully integrated into the therapeutic process while also utilizing evidence-based clinical approaches.

I work towards building therapeutic trust in order to work towards processing and building coping skills to manage life's everyday stressors. I’m committed to creating inclusive, affirming spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
I am trained in trauma incident reduction therapy and can utilize different tools from the practice to support those processing either recent or past traumas. I use an integrative approach of CBT, trauma informed therapy, strength-based solution focused therapy, and family/relationship systems to create the best treatment plan tailored to fit each person’s unique needs.
Fulfilling our potential is a lifelong journey of becoming more at peace with ourselves, deepening the intimacy in our relationships, being more authentically human, and feeling more alive each day. Along the way, certain challenges arise to cause us distress or confusion. Such moments can make us feel held back, afraid, or unsure of where to go from here. But these moments can also be the points of growth and healing from which we renew ourselves in ways we did not think possible.
It is a great privilege helping men and women in their search to improve their relationship with themselves and others, to lessen the burden of emotional pain, to experience freedom from addictions, or to embark on new life challenges - to find the hope and courage needed to take those important next steps.
My name is John A. Llauget. I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and an Educational Specialist Degree in Counseling from University of South Florida. My career in mental health in 1977 working in a psychiatric hospital; and later as a outpatient therapist in a community mental health center working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I was licensed in Florida in 1986 as a Mental Health Counselor and have maintained my license since that date. Also I have worked as an employee assistance counselor, school counselor, associate professor at an international university, and court evaluator for guardianship cases. For 20 years I worked as a cancer counselor with oncology clients helping them cope with illness, stress, and emotional distress.
Additionally I have maintained a practice and interest in Traditional Okinawan Uechi-Ryu, earning a Masters rank in that system of training. I have used martial training with children & adolescents to develop self-control and self esteem. Later when I began working with an elderly population and clients dealing with physical limitations, I taught Qigong and Mindfulness Meditation as a way to improve their health, well-being, and cope with stress. My therapeutic style centers around getting to know a client, develop trust, and talking more explicitly about issues before making any recommendations. I am a strong advocate of evidence-based treatments and teaching ‘tools’ to cope with stress and emotional difficulties. I have gained training in trauma treatment because we now know that it is prevalent in our life experiences. I value compassion, persistence, and patience in working towards change. I look forward to working with you. I also value your time and want to use it productively in assisting you to reach your therapeutic goals.
Call me Ben! I've been in private practice for 5 years and the mental health field at-large for close to a decade. I'm a big advocate for mindfulness (and ACT) and how it can be used alongside and incorporated into the therapeutic relationship to make tremendous strides in addressing one's mental health. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my wife and our two cats. I love to go hiking and kayaking, I own a record store where I also work, and love a good gaming session with my friends.
Are you struggling with negative emotions? Do you have relationship or behavior patterns that you have tried to change, and despite your efforts, you continue to repeat them? If you said yes to either of these questions you are not alone. My name is Rebekah Phillips, and I am a licensed therapist with 16 years of clinical experience including acute, residential, and outpatient settings. I am passionate about helping individuals learn to love themselves, connect better with others and develop skills that support a healthy balanced lifestyle and achieve greater life satisfaction. Using a combination of video or audio-based sessions alongside tasks you complete between sessions, I will offer you a safe space to be heard, understood, and accepted. I provide a listening ear, validation, and an objective perspective. Our therapy sessions will be a safe space and an opportunity to acquire new skills & insights. We will work together to ensure you are able to share your story, gain insight & clarity and thereby accomplish those goals that previously eluded you.
I am passionate about trauma and helping others who have suffered from trauma in the past. The impact of trauma is largely unrecognized and can last a lifetime. Additionally, symptoms of trauma masquerade as many other diagnoses. For example, thousands of children are diagnosed each year with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, when their symptoms are actually due to trauma. Trauma disguises itself as anger management issues, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, phobias, panic attacks ... the list goes on and on. For me, treating trauma and helping others overcome its devastating effects is intensely rewarding.
