Congratulations on taking the first step towards healing, despite feeling worried or unsure, perhaps even hopeful, despite misgivings. Choosing to change is difficult, and you are doing it!! With 26 years of practice, I bring professional expertise, personal understanding, sincerity, warmth and caring to your healing journey. Whether you’re navigating life solo or in a relationship, unresolved childhood trauma can quietly shape your patterns, reactions, and relationships. I help individuals and couples uncover those early wounds and start healing—through psychotherapy grounded in neuroscience and mindfulness. Because healing isn’t just talk; it’s nervous system deep. The body keeps the score, but you get to rewrite the story. Let’s create the life you were always meant to live. Not all therapies or therapists are created equal, as you know if you are still struggling with the same issues. Time for a change.
If you want to feel better about yourself, confident, excited about life, build healthier relationships, and become your best self, welcome to creating your best life. Together, we'll integrate Mind/Body/Spirit approaches with classical therapeutic interventions tailored to your unique needs.

I have worked in the field of Mental Health and Human Services for over twenty years. During this time, I've had the opportunity to interact with individuals in various places along life's journey. My overall desire is to provide you with an emotional and physical space where you will feel seen and heard. Therapy can be emotionally demanding but can also be life transforming. I fell in love with psychological studies in high school. Becoming a therapist has fulfilled my curiosity about human existence and my quest for happiness. I used therapy to overcome my own struggle with fears, shame, and self-doubt, which has affirmed my faith in the helping profession. I have learned through training and personal experiences that all human beings have the same basic quests in life and that we all deserve a chance to develop our unique potential, contribute uniquely to the tapestry of life, and be happy. I have also learned that human growth can only lead to spiritual development and discovery. My growth in understanding the common threads of humanity helps me treat my clients with respect and compassion. I have had extensive training in CBT, EMDR, mindfulness, trauma-focused, and insight-oriented therapies. My inclination is to use an integrated approach that meets clients where they are and helps propel them forward to achieve their objectives.
Hi! I am Luis Gonzales, a licensed mental health counselor and certified rehabilitation counselor working out of the Tampa area. Having gone through a tragic life altering experience at a young age, I know what it’s like to feel lost and hopeless about the future. When I was 21 I suffered a spinal cord injury that left me paralyzed and wheelchair-bound. Through my journey of recovery I learned firsthand, just how much our thoughts and emotions can become our biggest obstacles in life.
I am the wife of a Retired Combat Veteran and a mother to four beautiful children. I understand the complexities of being separated from your spouse for extended periods and feeling alone in the relationship and raising the children. Even the most well-prepared and successful person can find themselves wondering how things became so complicated, messy, or challenging, and feel at a loss when it comes to what to do to put the pieces back together. People have been shaped and molded by their past experiences, both good and bad. Often, people feel drawn to focus on the bad experiences, leading to pain and struggles of many kinds.
I have over 9 years of experience helping adults, children, and families in crisis. I am currently licensed in Florida. I am a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager and hold a minor certificate in children and families. I am also a proud Retired Army Veteran.
Are you ready for impactful changes? I am prepared to endure this journey with you using my knowledge, skills, and abilities. Your behavior will always show, so embrace it the safe way. Lets talk about the challenges you face together. Let the Power Hour motivate your change. Judgement Free, It's Me, It's You, A Team Of Two. Please contact me, lets engage.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I moved to Florida from Nashville but have roots in Mississippi and Virginia. I graduated from the University of Phoenix in April of 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Health Administration. I used that degree to enroll at Capella University where I earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in March of 2021. My passion for counseling started when I was very young. In my teenage years I participated in groups that worked to prevent teen suicide. This interest eventually worked its way into my adult life as a career in the mental health field.
My first position after graduating with my Masters was assisting individuals whose substance abuse lead to involvement in the criminal justice system. Building on that, I also have experience with Veterans' issues, grief and loss, eating disorders, LGBTQ+, relationships, depression, anxiety, social fears and many other mental health diagnoses.
I don’t believe that there is a one size fits all approach to an individual’s mental health. I use a wide range of techniques to best help my clients to achieve the goals they set forth during their time in treatment by developing strategies and coping skills to achieve optimal mental health.
Hi, I’m Maria—a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals find clarity, healing, and resilience through life’s challenges. I became a therapist because I deeply believe in the power of connection and the importance of feeling seen, heard, and understood. My passion for mental health grew from personal experiences and professional work in diverse communities, where I witnessed the strength people carry even in their most difficult moments.
I hold a master’s degree in social work and am a licensed clinical social worker. My professional background includes working in outpatient mental health clinics and hospitals, where I’ve supported individuals facing anxiety, depression, parenting stress, identity issues, and relationship difficulties. I have extensive experience working with young adults, adults, and parents—particularly those navigating cultural stressors, life transitions, and caregiver burnout.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness. I tailor treatment to each person’s unique story, helping clients develop healthier thought patterns, regulate emotions, and reconnect with their strengths.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain, therapy can be a space to feel supported and empowered. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your path to healing and growth.

Hi,
I am Kamala, a FL and GA LMHC. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Jacksonville University in 2003 and my master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2015. I have worked as a mental health counselor for five years. However, I have been in the field of helping people for 18 years, starting as a case manager at a homeless shelter and later as a special education teacher. What can I can say? People are my niche.
Helping individuals get through life's difficulties is my purpose. The thing about it is, we may not be able to live 100% symptom-free, but we can live productive, fulfilling lives even with some discomfort. That may sound daunting, but I think it's realistic. Do you know why? Because even when we get through one thing, another thing is somewhere on the timeline waiting. I'm here to help you get through your "thing" now and prepare you for your "thing" later.
Hope to meet you soon.
