Life can look completely fine on the outside while feeling exhausting on the inside. You may be carrying anxiety, trauma, people pleasing, self-doubt, or simply the weight of trying to hold everything together. If you're looking for a therapist who is genuine, down-to-earth, and willing to meet you where you are, you're in the right place.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if this is your first time. You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you're ready for a therapist who will listen, laugh with you when appropriate, challenge you gently, and help you make meaningful changes, I'd love to meet you.
Clients who come to me are strong, and often need a compassionate, listening ear of someone who "gets it." Perhaps you're someone who has never seen a therapist, or maybe you are a seasoned pro. Either way, my goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop healthier patterns, and move toward the life you want.
Welcome. I am here for you!
My name is Susana Mejia Vargas. I am a fully bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and my main focus is to help clients with unresolved trauma. Depending on how you are affected, trauma can cause difficulties in your daily life, such as hopelessness, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, constant irritability, and stress. I help my clients better understand the challenging aspects of traumatic events that are affecting their emotional and mental health. I will make clinical judgments about how to proceed in certain situations, but you are an expert on yourself, even if you don't feel that way.
Stress, anger, depression, and anxiety can really impact your overall functioning and quality of life. Are you facing issues that you need help to work through? Do you have a life goal that you would like to achieve? Is it difficult to adjust to lifestyle changes? I recognize that our problems seldom exist in a bubble and that more often than not they are a direct reflection of our upbringing, past trauma, and/or our environment. Clients often cherish my ability to be direct, honest and having unconditional positive regard while challenging maladaptive beliefs.
Investing in counseling can yield long-term rewards to influence healing, intimacy, and wholeness. Acquiring necessary tools for healthy growth can be invaluable to achieving an authenticity of self. We will endeavor to enhance your life through increased self-awareness, personal growth, and self-acceptance utilizing the modality most beneficial to you.
Deciding to go to therapy may be a difficult decision. However, therapy can help you process complex emotions and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others. Therapy can also help you learn new ways of coping. I welcome the opportunity to meet you and I'm honored by your consideration to allow me to journey with you.

Anxious?
Down?
Traumatized?
Having problems in your relationships?
Let's talk about it.
I can offer perspective in areas such as parenting, career, and goal planning.
We can discuss the habits to help get you there; to where you are aiming to go.
If you don't know where that is, we can explore.
The point is, we'll be working on the most important thing in your life, you!
Let's identify your cycles and explore some possible variations!
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Texas and Florida) I’ve worked with Individuals, Couples, Families of various sizes, with a plethora of sessions on parenting. Nearly 20 years later, it is still a privilege to work with individuals, couples in various stages or phases of their relationship and families of all sizes.
I’m often looking for "the funny" in the moment and the world around me. I greatly enjoy sarcasm, snark, and satire. I'm fairly casual but have been told I "Clean up well", and clients have told me in the past they appreciate that I do not come across as "stuffy".
I daydream of going on cruises with my wife, occasionally think about bringing our children along. I treasure a long nap in a hammock, and I love movies. Once upon a time I even submitted a short film to the Cannes Film Festival (wasn't selected) but I did enter. Prior to being a therapist, I found myself listening and caring, as people would end up just talking to me and telling me their life story. I decided I should put that to good use. Growing up my family was fortunate to be able to adopt and quickly we became a larger family that could not remember there was a time when my sister had not been there. Through the process, I realized how important family and relationships.
Clinically, I work with a foundation of Solution Focus and Systemic Therapy, with attributes of Narrative, Structural and/or Strategic.
*** Writing animal support letters or ESA documentation, disability-related paperwork, court-mandated evaluations, divorce or custody agreement related paperwork would be out of the scope of my practice, therefore is not something I engage in at this time.
Are you feeling stuck in overthinking, emotional reactivity, or self-doubt—even when you know you’re capable of more? You may feel like your inner critic is running the show, leaving you exhausted or disconnected from yourself.
I’m Marsha Hicks-Richards, LCSW, and I help clients move from survival mode into clarity, emotional balance, and self-trust. I believe therapy is an act of courage and self-care, and my role is to support you in reconnecting with your strengths while learning practical tools to navigate life more effectively.
My approach is integrative and holistic, blending DBT, CBT, Schema Therapy, inner child work, and mindfulness to support both emotional regulation and deeper healing. I have extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as those struggling with intense emotions, relationship patterns, anxiety, and self-esteem. Therapy with me is collaborative, grounded, and focused on helping you feel more stable, empowered, and aligned in your daily life.
Welcome—I’m glad you’re here. Reaching out for support takes courage, and my goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered from the very beginning. I approach therapy with compassion, curiosity, and respect, creating a space where you can show up exactly as you are. I am a trauma-informed mental health counselor who works with adolescents (13+), adults, military personnel, and families. I support clients navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. I believe every person carries a unique story shaped by lived experiences, strengths, culture, and resilience. Therapy is not about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about understanding what you’ve been through and reconnecting with the parts of yourself that deserve care and healing.
My therapeutic style is warm and grounding, while also structured and intentional. I draw from person- centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and evidence-based trauma modalities to help you build emotional regulation skills, deepen self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change. We work together at a pace that honors your comfort and capacity, focusing on what’s working, what’s hurting, and what may need to shift. You don’t have to figure everything out alone. Therapy can be a powerful space to process, grow, and reclaim your voice. If you feel we may be a good fit, I would be honored to support you on your healing journey.
I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, chronic stress, and health-related concerns. My approach is warm, compassionate, and integrative. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely seen, understood, and accepted—not judged or placed into a one-size-fits-all treatment plan.
I draw from psychodynamic, relational, cognitive, solution-focused, and coaching approaches, as well as my background in health coaching and nervous-system regulation. Rather than relying on one particular method, I tailor our work to you: your personality, your history, your goals, and what you need at this point in your life.
I’m especially interested in helping people understand the patterns that may be keeping them stuck while also developing practical tools for creating meaningful change. My goal is not simply to help you “fix” a problem, but to help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, feel more emotionally grounded, and create a life and relationships that feel more aligned with who you are.
For clients working with me in person, I may also incorporate neurofeedback or BAUD (Bio-Acoustical Utilization Device) therapy when appropriate. These brain-based approaches can complement traditional talk therapy and may be helpful for nervous-system regulation, anxiety, and reducing the emotional intensity associated with difficult or traumatic memories. I see these tools as another way to support the therapeutic process—not a replacement for the relationship and deeper work that happens in therapy.

I’m a resilient therapist from the Caribbean who knows what it’s like to face challenges and start over. My personal journey has given me a deep understanding of what it takes to navigate change, adapt, and heal while carrying your story with you. With years of experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, and life transitions, I help clients make sense of their experiences and find balance and self-understanding.
I create a space where you can show up as you are seen, heard, and supported and work with you to build real, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
I have been a therapist for over twenty years. It is an honor to support clients to achieve their goals for joy, peace, and understanding.
I enjoy watching clients "find themselves" again after a period of performing on autopilot. Whatever your goals are, I believe that with the right support you will be successful. I am here to listen and to support you as you explore where you are and where you would like to go.
I specialize in supportive validating psychotherapy- I have developed my skills working in mental health over 20 years. I am passionate about my work and believe in the power of connection to help promote change in therapy- I use Mindfulness DBT skills and EMDR as my primary helping modalities- I will meet you where you are at and help you remove your blocks to finding happiness. Whether you need to change or learn acceptance- therapy can be a useful tool in this process.
I am an LMHC therapist, public speaker, community organizer, social and environmental activist, and have been listening for decades. My Master of Clinical Psychotherapy, 2013 came from the University of North Florida. I experienced a Clinical Pastoral Education, in deep listening. I worked in the Talk program at Wounded the warriors talked; I listened.
Trauma Supportive Therapy is used to safely address, as slowly as need be, the pain of the past that keeps coming to trip your defenses in the present at all the wrong moments. I can be that supporting presence who will help sort it out by listening, sincerely hearing you, reflecting the depth of your feelings back to you. I practice the therapy of defining personal meaning, so, together we will think about your options, planning, purpose, and goals for living a meaningful life without being afraid of tripping over your past or yourself.
I practice person centered therapy by meeting you where you are. I strive to be culturally sensitive, non-prejudicial and use strength-based therapy as a jump point, truly believing I am the guide for you, but you are the treasures and wisdom keeper. Of all the reasons people come to therapy: anger, guilt, anxiety, changes, transitions, depression, trauma, jealousy, and “it is just not working anymore”, the extra burden of race and racism is more than just a nuance to be nodded at in therapy. I will view race as central to all the other pieces, when it is central to you.
I am inclusive, secular, competent, affirming, and non-judgmental. I have worked with people in transition, people who are very much defined, “but things got complicated”, people in the communities of LGBTQA, Polyamory, Kink, non-gendered. Each are safe and welcome here.
I believe that everyone has inherent strength. While I can be direct and to the point, I understand that this conversation is about your life, not mine. I also believe in the power of laughter and that everyone is capable of leading their best life.
I live in a multi dog/cat/parrot household and odds are good you will not just hear them but may occasionally see them. No worries they don’t judge and have been sworn to HIPAA secrecy.

My name is Algelis Gonzalez, though I am commonly known as Al. My motivation to become a therapist stems from my personal journey. Growing up in a Latino culture, I developed a curiosity about people both within my community and beyond. This curiosity has driven me to understand the reasons behind our behaviors, both positive and negative. Throughout my career as a therapist, I continue to learn and grow, drawing from the vast knowledge available in the field.
I am deeply committed to helping my clients embrace their true selves, regardless of their personality traits—whether they are humorous, quiet and shy, hesitant to trust, or feeling frustrated with the world. I believe that everyone is welcome in my practice. Recognizing that none of us are perfect and that we are all striving to make sense of life’s complexities, I focus on exploring my clients’ experiences with respect and understanding. My goal is to facilitate their growth in ways they may not have previously thought possible.

I have always been empathetic towards others and have a passion for providing a helping hand to those in need. I understand that unfortunate situations in life can sometimes be unexpected. The hardships that we experience can make it difficult to cope, without the proper support.
I am able to relate to the community I serve and understand that we all have difficulties that may require the support of others. I believe that my life experiences have given me the compassion and dedication needed to make a difference in the lives of many.
My practice welcomes individuals from all backgrounds who are seeking compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My therapeutic approach is grounded in proven clinical practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
Treatment always begins with sound clinical, evidence-based care. When a client identifies their Christian faith as an important part of their life and healing journey, Scripture and faith-based principles may be thoughtfully integrated in a reflective and therapeutic manner to foster insight, hope, emotional regulation, and resilience. Faith is never used as a substitute for clinical intervention but serves as a complementary resource when it is meaningful to the client.

Welcome! My name is Corina and I hold a license in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I went to school at Palm Beach Atlantic University for both my undergrad and masters education. Palm Beach Atlantic University is a Christian University and I feel grateful to have attended this school as it has created the person I am today. I believe that my faith has developed me into the counselor I am today and I function with that mentality in counseling. Jesus is the great counselor and I believe that we are to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
I have been working in the counseling field for 8 years and have been licensed for 4 of those years. I have worked the majority of my career in an in-patient addictions center and have expanded to outpatient and in-home therapy with a couple of different community agencies. In those agencies, I have offered services to children from the ages of 4 to adults in their 60s, as well as family therapy. I have worked with an array of issues not limited to family conflict, relationship issues, communication, drugs and alcohol, anger, stress, coping skills and many other life issues.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a modality that I primarily work with and at times borrows from other modalities when it is fit. My goal is to build a real, raw and positive relationship while being compassionate and empathetic. I will be sensitive but also direct in my efforts to help you find solutions to your current and/or past issues. I also believe that incorporating the use of coping skills, boundaries and communication will increase the quality of life as well as the quality of relationships.
I believe all interactions are the beginning of potential flourishing relationships. With that said, I think that as we grow in counselor and client relationships, this very relationship will better help you with your relationships with family, friends and co-workers.
I am excited to meet you and to work with you as you learn new ways to live your very best life! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.

Hello! My name is Ray Castiglia. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have a masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have worked in the counseling field for more than 20 years. I enjoy helping others to navigate through their life stressor, and to become more happy, successful, and positive.
My primary focus is on high-achieving professionals who, from the outside, seem to have it all together but are secretly grappling with burnout, isolation, and the weight of relentless stress. Having practiced family law for over 20 years, I intimately understand the unique pressures of demanding careers—the high stakes, the constant 'on' mode, and the way self-care often falls to the bottom of the list until anxiety, depression and substance abuse can no longer be ignored. My approach to counseling is grounded in a person-centered philosophy that values empathy, acceptance, and respect, while also maintaining healthy boundaries that support growth and accountability. I believe each individual has the capacity to find their own unique path toward healing and purpose, and my role is to walk alongside them as they discover it. Drawing from decades of professional experience and a lifetime of personal relationships, I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and values. My goal is not to direct or dictate, but to guide and encourage, helping each person gain clarity, develop resilience, and move toward the life they were meant to live.
Hello, I'm Rose-Marie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Life can be stressful at times and it can be hard to cope with the everyday changes and curve balls thrown at you. Sometimes we don't think about the importance of our mental health. We struggle with adjusting to the changes life sends our way and may end up becoming anxious or depressed. In today's busy world we find ourselves playing multiple roles that require a lot of our time. We may even find it hard to communicate our feelings, emotions, wants and needs in our various relationships. As a result we may neglect to take care of ourselves or may focus more on one of our roles while neglecting the others. As a working mother of two, I totally get this and I am passionate about helping other parents navigate these demands. I can help you explore and find ways to cope. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help address the thoughts that led to depression and increased persistent anxiety. I also use Solution Focused Therapy to look at what worked and how to do more of it.
The great thing is that you took the first step by seeking a therapist. This can be scary, but I believe in creating an open and safe environment for you to share issues and feelings without feeling judged. I work with you at a pace you feel comfortable with while building the therapeutic relationship.

Hello,
I am very happy to meet you here. My name is Cassandra Sams, but please call me Sandy. I have been working as a counselor for over 20 years. Most of my experience has been in private practice but I also spent some time in agencies working with children and adolescents. I believe the agency work gave me wonderful opportunities to work with families and to help them navigate very challenging issues like mood disorders and anxiety. I feel very privileged to have been allowed to help parents find new behaviors to help them navigate the world of parenting. I also have been able to help children and adolescents understand their parents' perspectives. Likewise, I really enjoy working with individuals who are dealing with various life transitions such as leaving school to go to college or into the workforce, leaving college and building a career, getting married and having children, or struggling with the mid-life crisis and coping with career changes or life changes such as divorce or deaths of family members. I do not consider myself to be the expert of your life. You are the expert and I am the witness. I feel honored and privileged to be invited into your life experiences and to be a witness to your life's journey. I believe that your story is sacred and I thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. I use cognitive behavioral strategies blended with existential therapy to assist you in discovering what your story is. My hope is that you will learn to love your stories as much as I do.
