I’m a licensed clinical social worker who is deeply curious about people, who we are, and what it takes to become who we want to be. I value authenticity, curiosity, and diverse perspectives. I believe understanding ourselves means looking at the whole picture: our experiences, relationships, identities, our communities and the systems that shape them. When we do that, we expand our capacity for connection, growth, and change. Healing is not always easy or linear; it requires us to grow, sit with discomfort, challenge what we know, and try something different. As the founder Sana Libre, a healing and learning practice, I cultivate spaces that offer people compassion, accountability, and grace.

First session

The first session is really about getting to know you and beginning to understand what brings you to therapy. We will talk about what is happening in your life, what feels most important right now, and what you hope might be different. You do not need to come prepared with the “right” answers or even know exactly where to start. We’ll figure that out together. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and the larger context of your life. We will also begin identifying what you would like to focus on and what might be most helpful moving forward. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling seen, heard, and understood, along with more clarity about how we will collaborate. There is no expectation to figure everything out in one session. We are simply beginning to build a shared understanding and openly discuss how I can support you and wether or not you feel I am a good fit for what you are looking for.

Strengths

I am committed to going beneath the surface—offering perspective, compassion, accountability and a safe space to explore and grow. I bring an openness to who you are, your strengths and your insights. As a believer that we are the expert on our own experiences, our work will always be collaborative. I am here to listen, notice patterns, ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives, and most importantly challenge you. We will build on the strengths, wisdom, and resources you already carry while developing new ones along the way. My use of an integrative approach means I draw from different tools and methods based on who you are, what you’re experiencing, and what we are working towards together.

Ideal clients

My ideal client may be navigating a season of change, or major life transitions--figuring out adulthood, relationships, career, identity, grief and loss. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, the impact of past experiences, or simply feeling stuck between where they are and where they want to be. I work best with people who are open to taking an active role in therapy. My clients are often looking for a collaborative approach that gives them the space to process and better understand themselves. My hope is that my potential clients are willing to exploring patterns, considering new perspectives, building skills, and trying something different. They will value a therapist who supports them, and is willing to ask thoughtful questions and offer some challenge along the way.

Treatment methods

Integrative

I believe there is more than one approach to therapy. I draw from different methods based on who you are, what you are experiencing, and what we are working toward together. We will pay attention to what feels useful, build on what works, and adjust our approach as your needs change.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Our experiences do not happen in a vacuum. I make space for how culture, identity, family, community, power, and larger systems may shape how you understand yourself and what you are experiencing. We will consider what makes sense within the context of your life rather than assuming one way of healing works for everyone.

Strength-Based

Therapy is not only about identifying what is wrong. We will pay attention to the strengths, wisdom, relationships, resources, and ways of coping you already carry. We can build from what is already working while developing new tools to support your growth and healing.

Narrative

We will explore the stories you have developed about yourself and your experiences, including where those stories came from and whether they still fit. Sometimes looking at an experience from a different perspective can create room for new meanings, choices, and possibilities.

Somatic

Sometimes our bodies notice things before we have words for them. We will pay attention to physical sensations, emotions, stress responses, breathing, movement, or other signals from your body to better understand what you are experiencing and practice ways of feeling more grounded and regulated.
