Hi, I'm Nicole Bakewell, MS, LMHC, NCC, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I believe everyone deserves a safe, compassionate space where they can feel genuinely seen, heard, understood, and accepted without judgment. My approach to therapy is warm, authentic, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful healing begins with connection. I strive to create an environment where you can show up exactly as you are, without feeling pressured to have everything figured out. Therapy isn't about being perfect; it's about understanding yourself, recognizing patterns, healing emotional wounds, and discovering healthier ways to move forward. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, infidelity, grief, life transitions, and challenges with self-worth. I am especially passionate about helping clients understand how past experiences influence their present emotions, behaviors, and relationships. In our sessions, you can expect a balance of compassion, honesty, encouragement, and gentle accountability. I'm not a therapist who simply sits back and listens. I believe in meaningful conversations, thoughtful questions, practical tools, and helping you connect the dots between where you've been and where you want to go. I recognize that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially when you've spent so much time being strong for everyone else. My goal is to help you feel comfortable enough to explore the difficult things while also recognizing your resilience, strengths, and capacity for growth. Whether you're working through painful experiences, rebuilding trust, strengthening relationships, or simply trying to feel more like yourself again, I would be honored to walk alongside you. You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone, and you don't have to have all the answers before beginning. Sometimes, the most meaningful changes begin with simply feeling understood.

Hello, I'm Rose-Marie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Life can be stressful at times and it can be hard to cope with the everyday changes and curve balls thrown at you. Sometimes we don't think about the importance of our mental health. We struggle with adjusting to the changes life sends our way and may end up becoming anxious or depressed. In today's busy world we find ourselves playing multiple roles that require a lot of our time. We may even find it hard to communicate our feelings, emotions, wants and needs in our various relationships. As a result we may neglect to take care of ourselves or may focus more on one of our roles while neglecting the others. As a working mother of two, I totally get this and I am passionate about helping other parents navigate these demands. I can help you explore and find ways to cope. I use cognitive behavioral therapy to help address the thoughts that led to depression and increased persistent anxiety. I also use Solution Focused Therapy to look at what worked and how to do more of it. The great thing is that you took the first step by seeking a therapist. This can be scary, but I believe in creating an open and safe environment for you to share issues and feelings without feeling judged. I work with you at a pace you feel comfortable with while building the therapeutic relationship.

As a counselor, I believe that healing begins with understanding — both of ourselves and of the patterns that shape how we live, think, and feel. My approach is person-centered, strength-based, and compassionate. I deeply believe in meeting clients where they are, and I honor the pace at which each person is ready to move. Growth takes time, and every step forward is meaningful. I hold the belief that we each already carry the strength, wisdom, and resilience we need within us — sometimes we just need help uncovering it. By gently shifting away from unhelpful patterns and learning to embrace more empowering ways of thinking and being, we make room for courage, clarity, and transformation. Most importantly, I want clients to know that this deep and necessary inner work doesn't have to be done alone. As a counselor, my goal is to walk alongside you — with honesty, care, and encouragement — as you navigate life’s challenges and rediscover what’s possible for you.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent two decades teaching and coaching young adults, which means I am fluent in motivation, humor (sometimes sarcasm), and the art of redirecting chaos into purpose. This makes me particularly tuned in to working with veterans, teens/young adults, neurodivergent powerhouses and anyone who is looking for a unique version of therapy. I blend advocacy, multicultural awareness, and deep compassion to support clients through the hard stuff while celebrating the good stuff.

Hi, I’m Lauryn-Maggie! I’m a solution-oriented therapist who believes healing can be challenging without always having to feel heavy. So much of therapy involves unlearning patterns we didn’t necessarily create ourselves; from generational cycles to attachment and relationship patterns (just to name a few). I’ll make space for the hard stuff while also helping you understand the “why,” find practical ways forward, and hopefully laugh a little along the way. I am not just talking about change, we’re working toward it together.

Hi, I’m Jessica Vargas LCSW, LISW and I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest, understood, and supported without judgment. Life can become overwhelming, whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, stress, major life changes, anxiety, depression, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. My approach is warm, compassionate, and practical. I work collaboratively with each client to understand what is happening beneath the surface while developing realistic tools and strategies that can create meaningful change. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Your experiences, goals, and strengths are unique, and our work together should reflect that. I work with teens, adults, and couples who may be struggling with emotional challenges, relationship concerns, communication, self-esteem, life transitions, family conflict, stress, or other challenges that are making it difficult to feel like themselves. For couples, I provide a supportive space to improve communication, understand patterns within the relationship, and work toward a healthier connection. As a therapist, I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself—even when things feel messy or difficult. My goal isn’t simply to help you get through a challenging moment, but to help you better understand yourself, build confidence in your ability to cope, and develop skills that continue to serve you beyond therapy. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you’re ready to make a change, I’m here to help you take that first step.

I work with women navigating life transitions, particularly those that bring changes in relationships, family roles, and their sense of identity. These experiences can bring anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the effects of trauma into focus, and can influence how thoughts, emotions, and the body interact. My 25 years as a yoga teacher and yoga therapist have shaped how I approach counseling, particularly my understanding of the connection between emotional and physical experiences. I incorporate mindfulness and somatic approaches to help clients recognize how stress, emotions, and past experiences influence not only their thoughts, but also how they feel and respond physically. Understanding our patterns is important, but learning to respond differently is where meaningful change begins.

With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about supporting adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions and pursue meaningful growth. Whether you are a college student or recent graduate adjusting to a new season of life, an individual facing anxiety or depression, or a couple preparing for marriage or working to strengthen your relationship, I strive to provide guidance that feels both supportive and practical. My Christian faith shapes my personal values; however, I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. Faith-based perspectives are incorporated into counseling only if a client specifically desires it. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Life transitions—whether expected or unexpected—can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and work toward the emotional and personal goals that matter most to you. I have experience working with adults experiencing life changes, including college and post-college transitions, relationship challenges, marriage and premarital preparation, and parenting. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and stress that often accompany these seasons of change. My background as a behavioral specialist in community mental health allows me to effectively support adults diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, as well as parents raising children with these diagnoses. In my work with couples, I draw from my experience as a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator to help partners strengthen communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more connected relationships. When working with individuals, I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My focus is on equipping you with practical tools and strategies so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.

Hey there, I’m Dr. Gittelson (you can call me Dr. G. for short) and I'm a licensed clinical psychologist. I know how difficult it can be to start therapy, and if you are reading this then you have already taken a step to getting started and that is a huge win! Whether you are seeking therapy in-person or from the comfort of your couch (pet cameos are always welcome), I aim to create a space that is grounded, supportive, and free of judgement. If you’re interested, below is a little more about how I developed my clinical background and areas of training: My path in psychology began at Florida International University, where I earned my B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I later completed my Psy.D. at Nova Southeastern University, with training in neuropsychological assessment as well as clinical work in foster care and the dependency court system. During my doctoral internship at the Mental Health Center of Florida, I worked across community mental health, family court, and private clinical settings with a wide range of individuals and families. I went on to complete my postdoctoral fellowship at Alliance for Psychological Services, where I provided therapy and psychological assessments in forensic and high-intensity settings, including court-mandated work involving family court, dependency court, and the Department of Corrections. Today, I provide both therapy and psychological assessment. My clinical work often centers around anxiety, depression, trauma histories, life transitions, and complex family dynamics. I also have a strong interest in sports and performance psychology, particularly in supporting athletes and high-performing individuals who want to strengthen the connection between mental and physical performance.

My name is Nikki Caravella and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida. I earned my Undergraduate Degree in Social Work at Youngstown State University in 1996 and my Master's Degree at Case Western Reserve University in 1998. Since that time, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse group of clients. Each of them came into service bringing a unique history and presenting with equally distinct needs and expectations of counseling. As a therapist, I treat a wide range of mental health issues and life adjustment challenges. I am experienced in helping clients relieve anxiety using various techniques, including neuro-linguistic programming. For those who have suffered past traumatic events, we can use cognitive/behavioral tools to help reconcile the emotions connected to the events. If you happen to live in or near Ocala and are able to come in person for session, we can utilize a treatment called Accelerated Resolution Therapy to neutralize heightened emotional responses.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with over 10 years of experience as a therapist and a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in Afghanistan, where I achieved the rank of Sergeant (E5). My military background gives me firsthand insight into discipline, resilience, stress, transitions, and many of the unique challenges faced by boys, men, service members, veterans, fathers, and families. I primarily work with boys, teenage males, and adult men who are experiencing behavioral challenges, anger, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship concerns, and major life transitions. As both a clinician and a father, I understand the importance of helping boys and men build confidence, increase emotional awareness, strengthen communication, and develop healthier ways of coping with life's challenges. My approach is calm, supportive, practical, and straightforward. I work to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly about what you are experiencing without feeling criticized or pressured. Together, we focus on understanding the patterns that may be holding you back and developing practical tools you can use in everyday life. I am especially passionate about helping boys, young men, fathers, service members, and veterans strengthen emotional resilience, improve relationships, manage difficult emotions, and become more confident in how they handle challenges at home, school, work, and in their personal lives.

Dr. Roger Corbin is a therapist who specializes in guiding individuals through depression, anxiety, and the challenges of major life transitions. These transitions often bring financial strain, relationship difficulties, family conflict, or job loss. Roger is deeply committed to equipping his clients with practical tools to overcome these obstacles and move toward purposeful, healthy, and joy-filled lives. The book is both a tribute to my grandmother and an extension of the work I do with my clients. Many of the ideas I explore in the book reflect the principles I use in therapy—helping people recognize their strengths, navigate difficult life transitions, challenge negative thinking patterns, and move toward greater purpose and well-being. If you would like to learn more about my background, experience, and approach to therapy, you can visit my website at roger.corbinmsw. Please reach out with any questions.
